Dave,

Are we going to see you and the Marinaut 215 at Friday Harbor? Looking forward to SBS CBGT '10.

Harvey – I am a little hesitant to make plans for the boat until it is finished. We have been wrong on every completion date for the boat and none of my plans ever pan out, so I am a little gun shy. There is not a signup sheet for the Friday Harbor CBGT and I am not even sure the dates have been established. Don’t tell me if there are dates for the Friday Harbor CBGT, if you or somebody knows them. If they were far enough in the future that I felt confident of having the boat finished and then I committed to it, I am afraid it would jinx the boat project and we would not have it finished by then. I would like to say we will bring it to every CBGT we can, time permitting but I am not signing up for anything until I see water under the boat.

Maybe this is already in the thread somewhere, but if not, here is the hotel info:

Larkspur Landing, Renton
1701 East Valley Road
Renton, WA 98055
(425) 235-1212

I'm assuming the potluck will start when people show up with food (6 pm on?) and ditto the swap meet in the same room on Saturday, probably after people go to dinner. No one has stepped forward to coordinate other than Roger's arrangements for the Larkspur itself (Thanks!) so I suspect things will happen organically, so to speak. Or not.

Info on the use of the room at the Larkspur.

Sept 10, 09 It is Official
Here is the email I received from Linda concerning the CB/SBS gathering

Hi Roger, here's the scoop:................... The meeting room will again be available to us Friday at 4PM through Sunday 4PM without charge.

Linda

So, unless Roger (or the hotel) lets us know otherwise, we can use the room after 4PM Friday and until 4PM Sunday.

good day ya'll
in regards to some questions asked here.
the friday night party will get going somewhere arround the 6:00 pm timeframe. as to sat night it is up in the air. there is talk of a swap meet of sorts . the roomk at the motel is there for our use so take advantage of it.
I am busy wwith potatoe hauling out of storage all next week so am hoping to make it down on thursday evening.

see you all soon. thanks for helping to keep this gathering going.

wish i could be there, this will be the first seattle boat show i have missed in who knows how long, as for the marinaut, good things come to those who wait, cant wait to see it when i get back...

Well, I'm trying to get down to the show, at least for one night. I won't make any other "events" however. I just got a call last night from my brother and my mom's health is rapidly declining. I may have to fly back to Hawai'i on short notice. She's in her late 80s and has had a good life but it still sucks....

Mark, hope we get to see you, (We will only be able to be there Fri nite) but if not wish you the best and prayers for your Mom and family there.

Sorry to hear of your mom's health Mark, family absolutely comes first. I went through the same thing with my mom last April and your words are absolutely true, "she's had a good life but it still sucks." :(

Roger and all:

I have just too many irons in the fire and family concerns to be able to make it this year. Dang!

I'll dearly miss my C-Brat friends and our get together, and to a lesser extent, the boat show.

Have a great time and I'll look forward to next year!

This Roger will miss you. I'll drink an extra glass or two to partially offset your absence.

Joe we are going to miss you. Shucks, you (and several dozen of your best friends were the sole reason I am going) and now we will all have to try and get along  :( :disgust :unlove without you.

So come on up for the Friday Harbor affair and we'll all be :D

Miss you,

Harvey

Brock,

I spotted your signup for the SBS CBGT! 8) Anyone else coming to the Larkspur Pot-Luck or Saturday events, you have another couple of hours before the name tag shop is shut down. Sign up or PM me. I'll be taking off early Fri. AM for the Dark Side (Seattle) and will see you all there.

I just talked to the front desk at the hotel and they will provide shuttle service to the Link Light Rail station near the airport. You can ride the Light Rail to the Boat Show so don't have to worry about parking at the Event Center. You need to make arrangements with the hotel before hand, as it is a on demand shuttle system. The rail ride is about 28 minutes, runs every 7 to 10 minutes depending on the time of day, and costs about $2.00.
The Link Light Rail just opened within the last month or so, and might be kind of fun to try out.

Joe, sorry to "hear" that you are unable to join us. We'll miss you!

Since Joe won't be there, how about we set up a laptop at the hotel and do the following:
1) Pat Anderson logs into the C-brats site.
2) Everyone who walks past make a random post under Pat's login
3) This continues until Pat has passed Joe in post counts and Joe becomes the #3 poster on the site.

THAT will teach Joe for not coming!
