01/27 - 01/29 - Seattle boat show and C-Brat Gathering

We hope to make it over toward the end of the show, spend February 2nd or 3rd at the show. Will there still be C-Dorys on display at the show the last few days?

Thanks,
Kevin

Just bought our Boat Show tickets online. Signs of the times:

Price is up (Patty says, I really don't remember).
No free parking. This is a major bummer!
The magazine choices are totally uninteresting.

As far as I know all the boats that are in the show will be there thru the end of the show.

Lori and I are planning to attend the Taproom gathering on Friday night, weather permitting. However, we are going to drive to Snoqualmie and back home that night. We will not need to take the bus, so there should be seats for everyone now. We are not going to the SBS and will have to miss the potluck.

See you at Snoqualmie at 5:30.

Warren

P.S. I have posted a message in the For Sale section re: a couple of boating items that I can make available for inspection at the swap meet, if anyone expresses interest.

Warren,

We're sorry you won't be there for the show and swap meet but...THANK YOU! for letting me know about the bus. I have been sweating over how to fit 38 of us into a 36 passenger bus.

Regrettably, I'm going to have to miss this year's event, due to having caught a case of lingering cold/flu/respiratory inflammation, and several other problems.

My Mom is not doing well, and may have only a few weeks or months to be with us. Also, our Great Dane, Misty, is in the final stage of lymphoma, and may have to be put to rest within a week or so. The complications with the current weather are not helping, and my Internet hobby business is taking up considerable time.

Looks like a case of "five strikes, and you're out!" to me at least. I'll regret having to miss this year's bash, but don't see how it would be reasonable to try to attend with the complications above.

I've removed my name from the general sign up roster and the bus ride list, and know Pat will go ahead and remove it from the dinner list at the brewery.

Have a good time, guys and gals, and I'll be with you in spirity and hope to make it next year.

Joe. :teeth :thup

Darn it Joe! We're going to have to schedule a Lake Shasta CBGT just to get to see you. Come to think of it, that's not a bad idea! Let's work on that in your spare time

Roger we had one there in April of '02 if my memory serves me right on the date. First time that I met Joe. Great time and super place for a gathering.

Joe, Sorry to hear you are going to be all tied up in California. Really, hope things go well there, and we will miss you. Roger's got a good idea.

See you down the line,

Harvey

I have a case of wine that was graciously provided by Linda and Art Lindsay (Wineman) of Stone Wolf Vineyards in McMinnville, Oregon. I was at the winery yesterday and even though they are closed for the winter Linda was kind enough to put together a selection of their wines for me to bring to the potluck on Saturday evening.

What time do you think the potluck will get going? I'm thinking I will work early on Saturday and go up that direction from there. I may go to Portland first to pick up a friend if she is able to join me, but if I go into work early enough we can make it easily.

I've got some fishing stuff I'd like to get rid of at the swap meet. There also is a pretty rough Magma grill, some miscellaneous fenders, two 10lbdownrigger balls ,and even a long tiller handle, for a kicker I guess. When does the swap meet start? Thanks

Hey Mike
it will be good to see you
I figure the potluck should start arround 6:00PM. that gives most time to go to the boat show and get back with time to spare.

Marty,
it will be good to see you also. I figure about 8:00 pm or soon thereafter would be about the right time for the swap meet. that should give everyone time to eat and socialize some and get food cleared out to make room for Items of interest.

The spousal unit & I are going to crawl out of our hermit cave and come do some visiting. I see on the Larspur web site there are two facilities, is all of the hoopla taking place at the one in Renton?
thanks
