If I don't stay at the Silver Cloud but want to come in for the pot luck what kind of parking options are available?

Hi Harvey, I work in this neighborhood, most of the free parking is now gone, although there is still some up on Fairview Ave E a few blocks north of the hotel. But have never had any problem finding paid street parking during the boat show near the show or the Silver Cloud. Most of it is $2/hr(for example around Valley and Minor and on Eastlake) but if you are willing to walk a few blocks there is ample parking for $1/hr in the area (around Valley and 8th, which is where I park every day when not riding the bus).

The map at the following link shows all parking rates / limits in the city, you can click on a given street/block and it will tell you if it is 10hr or 2hr parking and what the price is.

Also on a Saturday you may be able to park for free in some of the businesses' employee and/or visitor lots in the neighborhood for a short time but do that at your own risk.

Mike, Thanks for that reply and for the map. Coming from a LITTLE TOWN Seattle is very daunting, and I'd sooner spend an hour in the dentist chair than have to go find some place in Seattle, BUT, I can make it work. Thanks for the help.

There is free parking at the hotel if you are just coming for the pot luck. Just tell the staff we are here for the Cdory Pot luck

So we were able to negotiate a better rate for the hotel rooms for our group.

The director of sales and I would like to offer the C-dory group a group rate of $159/night (for a standard room) from the dates of 1/26/17 - 2/5/17. I will send you online booking instructions shortly with the new group code and password. Guests can call the front desk and reference C-dory to make a reservation too. We are not holding rooms aside for your group, we are just offering the discounted rate to your group so the sooner you make your reservation the better.

If folks have already made a reservation I’m happy to search our system and adjust the rate if necessary.

Standard King or Two Queen Bed Guestroom: $159 + tax per night
Lakeview King or Two Queen Bed Guestroom: $179 + tax per night
Lakeview Suite Guestroom: $209 + tax per night

Click “Log In”

Finally, Click on “Make a Reservation” and your guest should be all set to go.
 
please note that the silver cloud are not holding rooms for us at the new rate. when the hotel is full . that is it. grab them while you can.

Hey Mike! That would be great if you and Monica could join us also. Besides the wonderful chance to visit w/ you, your joining would also insure a continued Canadian presence at the "South of the Border" (i.e. Canadian / U.S. border obviously) CBGTs.

Also always great to have any opportunity to spend some time w/ the Langs during the SBS so great to hear you two are attending Greg and Cindy!

We plan to arrive early in the morning, park at the hotel and then do the
boat show utilizing shuttle services.

Just FYI, the $159 rooms are gone so we got the a Lake View for only $20 more. A view for only $20 is a deal!
