01/24 - 01/27 - Seattle Boat Show/C-Brat Extravaganza

Brats,

Nancy and I are leaving now for the Hawthorne Suites.

If anyone has questions or needs to comunicate, please send a PM to SENSEI (Roger)as I will be off line.

See you there!!!

Well don't this beat all. I still have to work Sunday, but I fanagled the night shift. So it looks like I'll make this thing yet. Tiffany and a friend of hers too!

We won't be able to leave here until late evening, so making the Friday party isn't too likely, but we'll be there sometime Friday night.

Whats going on this year? How come no Boat Show jingle every 10 minutes on TV, radio? You know how it goes ... "The boat show, THE BOAT SHOW, the BIG SEATTLE BOAT SHOW". Are they saving money in 2008 or what?

We'll be driving by my favorite Espresso Drive-Through at Discovery Bay tomorrow on our way to the Hawthorn. It's not because of their Lattes. They have Dabob Bay Oysters in the shell. They are the tastiest Oyster in the NW, IMHO. If any one is interested in trying some, raw of course, I'll pick up a few dozen. Any takers?

Time to state the obvious.... I read through most all of the 12 pages of this post and don't know just which Hawthorn to drive to. I've already booked with Linda. Now I'm just trying to mapquest up directions to drive to there. Is it the one at the following address?

6329 South 212th Street
Kent, WA 98032
Tel: (253) 395-3800
Fax: (253) 395-3022

Lots of comments and excitement! I'm looking forward to seeing everybody (every body) at the boat show and at our baby's factory. We'll have great big fun.

Is Seattle still a city without a snow plow? I remember living there years ago and the city simply "shut down"

I'm looking forward to the gathering tonight. I plan to bring some N/A sodas, sparklers, etc. Too, I have a brand-new unused starboard poly fuel tank for a CD22 free to anyone who wants it. I was saving it for Joe but unfortunately he will not be able to make it. I'll throw it in the car and give it to the first person who asks. Cheers! Mike.

Hi Brats! This Brian from Master Marine in Mt Vernon. I saw a few folks yesterday at the show and thanks for the help! For those of you who got a look at the Venture I hope you like it as much as we do because we ordered more! I'm posting to regret not being able to make the gathering tonight as my best friend and fellow Navy Chief Petty Officer is retiring after 24 years in the Navy (Ohhhh Rahhh) and I'm MC'ing his ceremony. I will be at the open house tomorrow night though, so I'll see everyone there?! Thanks for being loyal fans and customers!!!

arrrg, we'll not be making the wing-ding, ya'll feel free to drink my ration of beer....and Tyboo Mike, feel free to win that knarlyMcBitchin factory door prized that I just knew I was going to win :)

Seattle may have a snow plow, A snowplow, but doubt they care to use it. Seattle and all the surrounding areas just shut down when it snows. I worked in an office in bellevue one time that had over a hundred people and fully half of them stayed overnite one time because of a half inch of snow. Didn't bother me at all so I made the beer runs to Larrys and burger runs to Kidd Valley.

I'm just waiting for Patty to get home before we head on in to the Hawthorne for tonight's wingding. Have a keg of Copperhead in the Titan for tomorrow night's shindig at the factory, David has the C02 dispensing stuff. The party at the factory has a Mardi Gras theme - so get your beads and boas out! I put on my New Orleans hat and glasses, and asked Austin if I looked Mardi Gras-ish, he said no, I just looked like a C-Dory Elton John...

Tiff just called. The bus from the field trip is almost back to the school. So me and her and Kylee will be leaving town about 6:00 headed north. Leave a light on for us.

Well, we are at the Hawthorne. Already talked with Roger and Larry, Pat from down under with the new Rosbouroguh or however you spell it. I have two cases of 22 oz for tonight, one Porter and one amber. Pat is bringing a case of IPA for the hop heads. I have my dish baking in the oven for the GT tonight and a glass of Tanquerey in my hand.

The Argosy lock cruise is in the books for 2008. Picture taken aboard "Lizzie" on a beautiful January day. Snow in the forecast!
