2009 Seattle Boat Show / C-Brat gathering
January 23rd to 25th

we are ready for ya'll to sign up for the grand gathering in Seattle for the Boat Show and Factory Open House. We have secured the Larkspur Landing for our stay.(a side note, the Larkspur is the very first location for a boat show gathering many years ago)

the Larkspur offers
Studio Suites(1 queen bed) with small kitchenettes for $79.00 + tax
One bedroom Suites (1 king and pull out sofa ) with kitchenette for $99.00 + tax
Free shuttle to/from airport and also within 5 mile radius
Daily Continental Breakfast

The meeting room for the Friday night party is much smaller than the one we had at Hawthorn but they are giving it to us at no charge for the entire weekend. It will just be a lot more cozy for everyone. There will be a small spill over room attached, to use also. We are allowed to bring our own food and beverages to the room so there ya go !

I have been in touch with the Factory and this is the email I received from them
( As for the open house, the date it will be held is on Saturday, January 24, 2009 from 6 to 9 PM. Please pass this along to fellow C-Brats )

I also talked with them about tickets for the show and we all came to a decision that there will be no complimentry tickets and that they would take the money they would have spent on tickets and use it to make the party better. They have hinted to me that the theme this year will be a Fiesta. So dig out your serape and sombrero and make it a festive occasion

So, I guess there will no needling Charlie this year... Seahawks: 1 - 4, Redskins: 4 - 2. And no relief in sight for the Hapless Hawks. Go Skins!

Roger, looks like Sally and I are coming again this year. Looking forward to it and to a new place to stay! Thanks for all that you do!

Sure Pat, do it all you want! I'm fair game and got a thick skin. Also, a very short memory for things that happened in the past 3-5 years or so. Be glad to see all my friends again, in person!

I don't think we'll see either one of them in the playoffs!

Roger,
two things for clarification:

1. Are these special group rates for C-Brats?
2. Where is the Larkspur located?

Thanks,

Harvey

Harvey asked,

1. Are these special group rates for C-Brats?

Yes, these are special rates for C-Brats! BUT.....ONLY if you make your reservations thru Linda Dreher. See the opening post on this thread.

See you all there!

Bill & Joe,

Thanks for the clarification. Our first SBS CBGT experience was at the Hawthorne.

Looking forward to the new and improved. Thanks Roger :thup :thup

It's not within walking distance if that's what you mean. It's about 5 miles from SEATAC, click on the link and you can google the location and get the exact distance. I'd think it would take 30 minutes or so to get there, depending on traffic. There are lots of folks that will have cars to get you there and back, so if you want to take the hotel shuttle from SEATAC (if you're flying in), you could get a ride to/from the boat show pretty easily.

As for "tearing up the Hawthorn", no Joel, read this THREAD

Apparently, the new management has priced themselves out of our league. The meeting room, as Roger said, is pretty small (25) but if they mean 25 at tables for presentations, etc, it will accommodate us OK, if a little cramped. We can just all pretend we're in a CD-16!
