01/23 - 01/25 - Seattle Boat Show 2015

8032 Falls Ave SE, Snoqualmie.

Honestly, it is impossible to miss if you can find Snoqualmie, which is kind of a one horse town! Find Railroad Ave. and get into the historic district - easy if you take Exit 25 on I-90 to the Snoqualmie Parkway, it is about 3.5 miles from the freeway to the tee intersection at SR 202, where you turn right. Less than a mile and you are in the historic downtown. You will see the 1890s railway depot on the right at King Street, where you turn left. The Taproom is right there!

What is the street address (gps) for the brewery dinner on Friday night? Pat Anderson?

THanks Pat! Seawolf Joe and I will be there! We're in the hotel by the stadium and he is driving. We may try to ride with Roger if he gets a van or ride with him if he doesn't and has room! See you in a couple of weeks!

Charlie

If anyone is interested, I'll be bringing burgees and patches to the show. Save the $6 normally charged for shipping.

Burgees are $32.00 each, small patches (4") are $8.00, large patches (9") are $12.00. I'm hoping to make the brewery dinner, but don't know for sure yet - so drop me a PM if interested so delivery can be coordinated.

Walked through the show today (still setting up) and was pleased to find the C-Dory in a much better location than last year. It's in the north annex, right next to the food place.

Cathy and I are sad we will miss the gathering again this year. I will be in Alabama for the next 10 days and have had this trip planned for over a year.

Sorry Pat and Roger, Caryn and I won't be able to attend this year. We have a family bon voyage dinner for my youngest son who will be traveling abroad for some time.

Will there be a Saturday night event Roger?

Susan was working on something for a potluck but I haven't heard anything else on that. At present, I don't have anything planned for Sat. night. I'll be at the boat show late Sat. aft - evening though and I'd be happy to go to dinner with any other brats that want to. I was thinking maybe Hong Kong Bistro. It's close and it's good.

Susan was working on something but it will not happen this year, sorry. but she has some really good leads for next year. In fact if we can get 10 rooms at the silver cloud or one other hotel she is talking to we should be able to get a room for the pot luck for free that we can bring our own food to. I have asked her to talk to Roger but she has been really busy the last few weeks and has not managed it.

We will be staying at the silver cloud on the lake and will be looking to join people for dinner on both days. 425-220-6567. I will have a car and could come get people ( 2) but not until around 7pm saturday. We will be at the show until then. Friday we are thinking about 6pm , maybe the restaurant in the silver cloud stadium

Wow how things have changed.
Did a 6 page read here to get caught up.'
Charlie: Not sure when the last time was that you touched base with Dusty, but he has had a tuff time that I know of in the last 5 months. I sure hope my buddy is up for a visit. I have a PM to him with no answer. If you do see, talk, communicate in any way with him please tell him Hey for me and thanks for his service to our country, and I love and miss him.
Looked like at first...there may have been a boat gathering for this years boat show...but that washed out.
Looks like 10 folks are signed up on the signup.. but all may be staying elsewhere.
No idea how many folks are going to the Pub, that has been fun in the past but is about 35 miles from seattle...a bit of a drive after dark and maybe a beer at my age.
Sorry I am missing this gig....and have to remember the times we have had in years past in hotel south of seattle, with big room for us to gather in, bring our pot luck (I sure enjoyed the local dishes) and a few late nights if I recall. One of the last ones was the last trip I was able to take my Mom on and she damn sure had a blast at the hotel, on the Argosy cruise...and our time afterwards up in Stanwood.
Cheers to all who are going to be there this year.
