01/21 - 01/23 Seattle Boat Show/C-Brat Gathering

Lori has decided not to attend the SBS gathering, so if anyone is interested in sharing a room, contact me and I will see if I can change my reservation (Fri/Sat) from a king to 2 queen room. Be aware that I have been known to snore on occasion!

Boat Show Tickets?

You can get $10 tickets through Boat/US, which many of us belong to. Can anyone suggest a source for free tickets or better prices than this?

Warren, go ahead and pay the $12.00. You get that "free" cup of chowder and a magazine subsription.

BTW I still have the Wagoners for you. Now it is a 2010 insead of the 2009 I had save from last year.

Not making it after all, the new 70 took a huge chunk outa the bank this fall :( thought i had another decade left on the old F-115 till that mean old sandbar #8 we hit :disgust

good evening everyone
I was looking at the sign up list and see several that are on there that have decided not to come. If your name is still on the list but are not going to make it I would appreciate a PM from you so that I can take your name off. it will make it a lot easier for Roger(Dreamer) to make name tags if we know who is coming. if you have not signed up yet I would appreciate it if you could, if you plan to make it. it makes planning and such a lot easier for all involved.

It is not too late to make reservations with Linda for motel rooms. her info is

OK - I just did the event signup, but I'm not clear on the protocol for the potluck. What should we bring? Is there a possibility to plug in an electric chaffing dish or something like that?

Also, I'll be brining Jenny (my wife), and I didn't see a way to supply her name for a nametag - did I miss something?

thank you
as to name tags Roger will either email or pm you for info.
as to the potluck, that is what it is , whatever comes(luck of the draw so to speak) yes there should be some plugins for use for hotplates or whatever.

Going over the sign ups for Seattle it looks short on Canadians! I'll be bringing a buddy so that's two. Any other C Brat Canucks coming on down? George

I have a collection of Honda 90 props that are in new condition. If anyone is interested I can bring them to the swap or whatever Saturday night.

any one interested in bringing items for a swap meet on Saturday night are welcome to do so.
Last year was fun and a lot of stuff exchanged hands.

I updated the separate previously existing thread on this (originally started by our man Marty on Lizzie)..... see http://www.c-brats.com/viewtopic.php?p=184906#184906.

I will gladly bring this over to the SBS CBGT if somebody will claim it.... would prefer not to haul it over and back if nobody is interested.

As Marty originally mentioned the price is right (FREE!!) but any contribution to the C-Brats website Tip jar would be great.

Take care and looking forward to the SBS Gathering,
Dan & Tanya on C-Rentiy

Here's a quick teaser from my pre-show snooping at Navagear:

OK, report from the SBS/CBGT. Wonderful party at the Larkspur Friday night, the usual fabulous spread of great food. Snoqualmie Falls Copperhead and C-Dawg Rick's homebrewed Scotch Ale (we give Rick a passing grade for sure). Very successful.

Boat show was perhaps a bit of a disappointment. C-Dory was barely in evidence at all. One bare CD22 at Master Marine. Triton folks not there. We put the C-Brat collage on the hatch, and it will stay there for the duration. Brats talked to whoever showed any interest in the CD22. Bruce from Master Marine said he took no orders.

On the upside, if you like Ranger Tugs, and we do, they are selling boats like hotcakes, including the new Cutwater boats. We really liked the Cutwater C26, I can imagine more than a few C-Brats making the move to the C26.

But overall, this does not seem to bode well for C-Dory. They needed to be writing contracts and taking deposits, and it sure did not seem like that was happening at all...

I totally agree with Pat. I appreciate Master Marine having the lone C-Dory at the boat show but the display was underwhelming to say the least. There was zero bling to the boat and apologies to those who have boats this color but the light gray does nothing for me. Very disappointing.

On the upside, it was great seeing all the Brats at the hotel on Friday. It was nice to see old friends again and fun to meet new ones.

Looking forward to future gatherings.

Roger, Many thanks for doing the annual SBS CBGT. We had a great time. Lots of food, renewing old friendships, meeting new C-Brats and the list goes on....and on....and on.... Many thanks to Jeremiah for making the pizza run.
