01/14/05-01/16/05 - Seattle Boat Show and C-Brat Convention

Hi all,

I am a new C-Dory owner, but have been in the group for a few months - I would like to meet up with people at the boat show since i am local. Maybe even show up to the Saturday party. Let me know when and where.

thanks

Dan, all the info should be on this thread. You are more than welcome to join us. Make sure you get to the new C-Dory facility on Sat. I think most all owners or wanabees will be there for sure.

Welcome or welcome again...we are just up the road in Fall City. True Story is in Snoqualmie, so there are a couple of C-Dorys here in Cascade (er, I mean Far East King) County.

The majority of folks will be at the SBS on Saturday the 15th. I expect there will be C-Brats in and out most of the day, mostly around the C-Dory display (duh) but I think we are allowed to look at other boats! And to go over to Boats Afloat and drool over the Nordic and American Tugs, no? The party is at the new C-Dory Factory, time somewhat indeterminate, but evening! The address is somewhere in this thread...

Roger...Thanks for the PM. Got to talk with Linda this morning and everything is locked in with her for my hotel reservations. Looking forward to seeing you, and hopefully Bill and El there at the hotel on Thursday night. I arrive later than Mike and Brenda ("B") at around 5 or 515pm at SEATAC, get luggage, get rental car, then to hotel. Are we at the hotel going to gather some time Friday evening in a conference room and order pizza or something?? Looking forward to a great trip and time... Just about 2 weeks out!!! :D :) :o

You gotta love this guy...uses his vacation time to come to SEATTLE in JANUARY fer chrisssakes!

Yeah, lets talk about Friday evening a bit...I will no doubt toss in a case of 22s of Copperhead or somesuch, saving the keg for Saturday at the factory shindig. Room to room, so forth? Going out is tough with people arriving at all different times...

Pat,

The crew of the Nancy H are also taking some 'vacation time' away from our busy retirement to go the SBS! We will arrive at the hotel on Thurs and look forward to an impromptu party and BS session on Friday at the hotel.

Still hope to get there but was wondering :?: :?: , if we get Catman and Byrdman together, would the feathers fly :smileo ? Would the cat swallow the canary? Wouldn't want to miss the show....

Happy New Year to everyone, sure hope I can make it!

Charlie

I don't think the catman is a regular cat...he eats tofurky for chrissakes, no worry about the cats eating habits, but, drinking that's another issue :)
called Linda today, we're set for Sat night, should be fun. I'm going to get practiced up by going to the Portland BS

I just did the online BS ticket buying thing...sheesh...if you buy online you get a free parking pass and free one year subscriptions to "Sea" and "Go Boating" magazines. Durn, I may have to learn to read.

Ken or Roger-

After looking back through the posts, it looks like most of us should buy boat show tickets. The deal Ken found seems advantageous. I looked for the web connection in the previous posts, but it looks like it had been disabled (not blue or spelled out to copy). Could you post it for the rest of us? Thanks!!! Joe.

Of Course you can count on tickets for the show. We would also like to host the Saturday night party. If you would like we could work on the specifics keeping in mind that lodging will be in the Kent area.

Jeff

I think Jeff (at the CD factory) is providing tickets. Not sure how you can tell him you need one... this was in the posts on the first page...

Catman: Have 3 indoor (2 wheel drive) and one (occasionally.. 4 wheel drive) feral cats. Only one of the 3 indoor cats even shows interest in going outdoors, and that is generally right after seeing the squirrel running on the roof line. Other 2 are pushing 20 pounds and just cruise from couches/chairs/bed to the food bowls with an occasional stop "in the box." Cats ain't bad either if you keep the rotissary turning, the heat low and don't leave em' on too long...
GREAT SUGAR BOWL WEEKEND FOR THE AUBURN TIGERS!!
Have rental car (Exployer) reserved and will gladly throw a couple of folks in to and from the show from the Hawthorn/C-Dory Factory. It should ride 5.
6 MORE DAYS till FLY DAY!!! YEEEEHAAAA! :D

Byrdman, I was likin' your cat story all the way to the rotisserie! Then I said, hmm, I better meet this guy to find out just how he pushes buttons.

Agree about the Auburn Tigers. I haven't looked, but I bet they finish #2 after an undefeated season. More fuel for an eventual playoff.
