01/14/05-01/16/05 - Seattle Boat Show and C-Brat Convention

Nice offer, Fred. Can you stash me in the V-berth?

Patti, I agree. Now I'm going to the boat show for sure because El will be there, and I have a crush on El. Her old man ain't bad, either. (I mean, he's a swell guy.)

Brock
You have just been living alone too long. We've got to find you a nice mermaid.

Well...I've been lurking here since the breakaway from the C-Dogs group...and never felt compelled to post here. But now I find out that some guy named Catman has a crush on MY girl...so now I'm signed up...and I'm coming to the Seattle Boat Show...all the way from San Diego...just to make sure he doesn't get out of line!

Halcyon: Mike, Brenda and I will also be arriving at "THE HOTEL" on Thursday evening. My flight arrives @ SETAC 5:30, luggage claim, rental car, find hotel and we will be there. Hold for dinner if you can, but if you can't no problem.... The Byrds from Eastside.

Joe, all you need is a warm coat and maybe a raincoat. Would leave Seattle in the morning on Friday. Brock, I would always find room for you buddy.

Fred

Holy cats! Looks like I'll have to get in line behind some Californians, and who knows what other blue and red statesiders.
Hey, Chris, lurkers are welcome in Bratville. Glad you jumped on.

By the way, after a couple tries I amended my previous post. I feel better now.

That does it. If Robbi's going I'm making it for sure because I have a crush on her.

While I still appreciate his offer of a ride to the SBS from the CB Motel, I am starting to have some second thoughts.

Catman- Thanks for ammending the comment about "Her old man.."

Now I'll feel more comfortable with you stashed up in the v-berth!

Joe.

Fred- Thanks! In my rush to ploke fun at Brock, I forgot to answer your post! Let me know as further plans develop. I'm realy looking forward to the SBS/SBC and this trip! Joe.

El -

Just remember who it was who spirited away that bottle of spirits the spirit guy brought to the dock. You know, the same guy who later presented it to you. The "Barrel Select" stuff. It wasn't CM - he pretty much downed his.

Oh, man. I shoulda figured Taboo would swoop down from on high, scoop up some dusty, innocent, offhanded comments and completely embarrass the Cat.

Sea Wolf, I'm not going with you and Fred to the San Juans. Wouldn't make sense to occupy a seat when others haven't been there.

Fred,

Have you told Sea Wolf yet that he is going to have to ware a blind fold? Don't want him to end up like the DaNag and have to spend a bunch of spare change buying up a piece of the islands if he should lay eyes on them.

Tim

Hummmmmmmmmmm..........??? You just don't know how much I'd really like to do something like that!!!

But my wife doesn't like getting too far away from Macy's and the like!

We did once ("95) race sailboats in Sequim Bay and during the vist took in Victoria and went on the obligatory Whale Watching out of Port Townsend, etc. Felt right at home with the San Diego equity retirement community in Seqeuim (!) Absoloutly beautiful country!

Later, on a cruise up the Inside Passage ("01), fell in love with Sitka, but there's no way I could ever make that happen.

By the way, is Desolation Sound that much more interestng than the rest of the San Juans, or just more remote, primitive, and free of people-- specifically vacationers and tourist businesses? (Thinking of making that trip.)

See ya' at the SBS/SBC! Joe.

Dessy Sound free of people?? Oh my. It's danged near elbow to elbow most of the summer. Lots of 'em go home in August... of course I'm going back a couple of years, but doubt there has been much change.

Difficult to compare with the San Juans - or the Canadian Gulf Islands. Different country, and much to see. Catman's favorite place is also mine. Worth the trip fer sure.

Dusty
