01/13 - 01/15 - Seattle Boat Show/C-Brat Convention

Pat -- since when do you tell Patty what SHE'S allowed to do??

And, can anyone tell us --- we checked all the birding guides and couldn't find an answer -- who are the Seahawks??

El and Bill: Generally, Seahawks are overweight underachievers with a sharpened skill set for draining tax funds from King County residents, racking up corrections time (something they learned from the portland blazers) and causing horrendous traffic jams everytime they decide to stay home and show up at their coliseum. Through a set of strange adjustments of the planets, they also caused the Seattle Boat Show dates to be changed. As for me, they can spend all the time they want in jail, build the biggest homes out in the Issequah Highlands, but to mess up the boat show is unforgiveable.

Thanks for the Call Roger!! Another great day on Lake Martin.... cold night into the mid 20 with constant 12mph winds...and gusting to 20mph. But, it did calm down after about 230am. Ya gotta love the hard walls, nice windows...and that wallas just a purrrrring away. C-Byrd did fine too and the 1st time I put her on her trailer. Way easy. I will see yall soon. Byrdman

Well gang
we are pushing the 30 rooms booked so far. thank you everyone for this. I don't want to sound pushy here but when I was down to the Motel the other day they were asking how many more I thought might be signing up and I did not really know what to tell them. they were a little concerned that with the Seahawks in town for the playoffs, that there may be some competition for room space. they want to hold for us as long as possible . it may not become an issue but I just want all to get a room that want one so if you havn't reserved yet I would strongly advise that it be done soon. The motel has a complimentry evening social on weekdays except friday. also a complimentary breakfast every morning ,weekend included.
The friday party is looking good. I saw the room they are letting us use and it is quite large. there will be about a dozen round tables set up and tables set along the wall to put food. any finger foods and snacks will be appreciated. maybe we can order some pizzas and whatnot.
The Factory gig and tour is on track also. looking forward to seeing you all there.
I will be at the motel Wed. evening on, and will be available with tickets for the show. ask the person at the desk for our room number to get a hold of us.

Roger, since a bunch of us will be flying in with no chance to cook or buy stuff, can we contribute in some way to the food/drink for the Friday night party? I'd be glad to chip in $25 or so, just let me know if that's enough.

Charlie

Well, you KNOW the beer is taken care of for both Friday and Saturday. I do NOT want to see any Budhook or even Dead Guy (that means YOU, Brock!). Yellow beer folks, well, we forgive you because you know not what you do...The snacks, well, that will be up to others...

Roger,

I'm gonna try to bring something regional up (don't worry, not traffic or smog or inflated real estate) so let me know how many folks you expect on Friday night. You know what might be fun; a raffle! As many as can brings something. We buy "opportunities", we draw, we win, and the proceeds go to cover the cost of the event. I've got a couple of lobster tails that can make the trip! And I would love to win some of that home smoked salmon that I hear about. Or some homemade jelly/jam, or a special shirt or hat, or a week of "My C-Dory" on the home page, or . . . . . .

I've got the double tickets left over from our USCGAux Flotilla Anniversary Dinner.

Please Advise.

I can donate some home-tied-fish-can't-get-loose mooching rigs.

I have not been keeping up on the posts here. Do we know now if the SBS will be open Fri and Sat or just Fri.? We are arriving Friday. If that is the only day to visit the boat show I would make a beeline to the motel to drop stuff then head to the boat show.

Steve

bye the way, just talked with Linda and she has 32 rooms booked now

and yes the boat show and the factory shindig is still on. we are still in the dark as to weather the show will end Friday or Sat.. it all is in the hands of the networks and they will determine which day the Seahawks will play , after the first round on the weekend of the 6th - 8th.

See you all there.

Yes friday the 13th is the party at the hawthorn. then the big gathering at the factory on the 14th

I would guess that the friday party should get going sometime arround 5:30 - 6:00 pm.
the party at the factory should get going about 6:30 PM

I know that we're waiting on a network decision before we'll know if the boat show will end on the 13th or 14th. But does anyone know if the Boats Afloat part of the show on Lake Union will still be open on Saturday if the Seahawks play Saturday?

I don't have any 2 foot itis, but I sometimes get 15-20 foot itis and want to look at the big tug/trawler style boats while I'm in Seattle
Lyle

I've checked with the boat show and answered my own question. The Boats Afloat portion of the show will be held through the 15th.
