01/13 - 01/15 - Seattle Boat Show/C-Brat Convention

We would love to host the Saturday night event at the factory. We all had a great time last year! I even had Bill plant a couple more plants out front.

Jeff

Jeff, that sounds great. I'm planning on coming from the Right Coast. Is there a motel you can recommend near the factory? I'll probably stay there two nights, at least. Want to meet up with Dusty at some point.

The Ramada Inn in Kent is 1/2 of a mile north of us just off of highway 167. Dealers and customers that are in town often stayhere.

Charlie-

Most all of us out of towners have been staying together at a motel near the factory where we've been getting a reduced rate, use of the lounge, and combining together to pay for an additional room for the Friday night PARTY!!! This also allows us to car pool to the Saturday night factory open house and get together. Roger arranged all of this last year. Stay tuned for all the forthcoming details! Joe.

Was hoping one of you would chime in. Will wait for details. Looks like flights are pretty cheap if reservations are made well in advance (<$300).

Yes all
I am currently in communication with our good friend (Linda, with the Travel Desk) who did all the arrangements for us last year.
She is in contact with Hawthorn Suites to get the ball rolling. I will have information to post in a week or so.

It seems that the consensus is for the first weekend of the Boat Show so I will tell her to use those dates for reservations with the motel. On another note, was the room that we had the Friday night party acceptable. we could get a bigger room but the cost for it would be about double what it cost us last year. It worked really well passing the hat friday for room rental.

Jeff(factory guy)
Thank You for coming through with Saturday Night again.
I can safely say that it is well received and appreciated by all of us.I will be in touch with you in the near future. I will be coming down thataway soon to bring my angler down for its transom fix. Hopefully you will be there when I come down there.

This is really coming together. Thanks Jeff, it was a great time last year. You and the rest of the folks from C-Dory that put that together did a heck of a job. Thanks for doing it again this year. And Roger, thanks for all that you do to make this a special event.
I am getting the feeling that there may be more folks coming this year. If so, I would be willing to pay more for a bigger room for the Friday night party. I felt a bit hindered last year, and that is a bit unusual for me. :? But, I will go along with what the group wishes.(on the room size that is!)

I am saving up to buy a new GPS at the show. I have to keep up with Brock. :cat

Robbi

I am saving two of my precious remaining jars of Oregon Albicore Tuna so I can fix treats for El and Bill just in case I can find a way to afford to come. I sure regreted not being able to make it last year.
This could be my year!

:cocktail I will have to talk to Dan about going to the boat show,

last year i said, "wouldn't it be great to go hang-out in Seattle and look at the boats" i hear the Seattle boat show is really big...

So we start out in the hell of winter snow (strange for Portland) and go to the boat show, on the second day my Kona dive trip has just been replaced by a 16' C-dory....i have to say it has been worth it, i only wish we were rich like the rest of you and gotten really big....then my house would be gone this time and not just a trip to Kona!

maybe you will see us up there.......jan and dan

We'll be there, God willing and the creeks don't rise. Last year was a very special time for us -- so many good folks, great party put on by the C-Dory folks, super place to stay (we just saw Linda a few days ago, and gave her another hug of thanks) -- couldn't be better (unless Mr. Fisherman shows up). Sign us up for a motel room, just like last year, with whatever Linda finds -- she's great! We'd like one of those two bedroom suites with the little kitchen. And sign up that Rana Verde with us to share the room. Every time El hugs that Green Frog he turns into a Prince.
Thanks for all the organizing work, Roger, and for the offer of another great party, Jeff.

Patty here. Am I allowed to go to the boat show, Pat? Or am I confined to party activities only?

Patty,
I would suspect he'd allow you to go to the boat show if you brought LOTS OF MONEY with you! tee hee :wink

This sounds like a real gathering, I missed last years and I would also like to join in on the fun and hear some fish stories.

Roger, Would it be possible to get a room for Saturday night ???

We will have the largest display ever at this years Seattle Boat Show. We have just about worn out the collage from a couple of years ago and would love a new one. I would be happy to cover any expenses involved.

Roger, I still have the C-brats photo album that you let me borrow last year. It has traveled around the country with me to different boat shows.

Jeff

OK, guys - the challenge is ON...Nerds, may we have a folder for collage entries?

Sure thing, Pat. The 2006 SBSCBGT album is at the top of the Cruises and Events album list, and maybe in a minute or two it will be linked to the Event Signup list. Maybe not. Probably, though.

This is cool. Thanks, Jeff. Thanks, Pat.

OK, here is my entry...it is a 4' x 5' collage, guess I can take to Kinko's to print it...Oh, crap, I see I used one of the Chespeake pix twice (Halcyon and the workboat), guess I really liked that one - fix it tomorrow, but you get the idea...
