    I'm ready

There can be a cross over. Just make sure the previous owner has done the maintenance. Scroll down and on the righthand side of the screen there is a list of C-Brats' C-Dories for sell or go up to forums and scroll to the bottom for a little better breakdown. There are several listed as...

Moeller 6 Gal. Topside Gas Tanks

Because I'm tired of buying products for $100.00 or more dollars and it not work right; and when I attempt to notify the company I don't get a response. I'll move on, all right but first I'll attempt to make them answer me. Secondly I join the posts with other folks who have complained with the...

Moeller 6 Gal. Topside Gas Tanks

Thanks again ssobol. Hopefully, Moeller will respond. If not, I might do my on modification to the supplied gas cap. I purchased a replacement cap for my Suzuki that was the "newest epa complaint" cap that would fit my Suzuki tanks and I had to "modify" it to keep it from collapsing the tank...

Moeller 6 Gal. Topside Gas Tanks

Thanks ssobol, but it doesn't resolve the problem of why I loss power. And, I can't see stopping every five minutes to vent the damn thing. So far Moeller has not responded to what I (and others) consider a dangerous product. I reckon someone (probably someone rich or powerful or one of their...

Moeller 6 Gal. Topside Gas Tanks

Hey ssobol, Moeller's instructions stated to expect some swelling as the tank is suppose to vent after 7 PSI. However, it didn't and for whatever reason it caused a loss of power. I've e-mailed Moeller and am waiting a response. When I say the tank looked like a sausage, it was almost totally...

Moeller 6 Gal. Topside Gas Tanks

Hey gang, I purchased a Moeller 6 Gal. Topside Gas Tank a few months back. The first couple of times I used it the weather was in 80's with water temp in the 70's. This past week, we went out in the morning and everything was fine. On the way back in the air temp. was 100-101 degrees F and the...

    C-Dory 16 Angler: ideas for a 3rd seat?

Hey, I have a 2007 CD 16 Cruiser. Check the photos of the Sock Monkey for one idea that may work for you. If I have extra passengers we add a cushion and the soft foldable stadium seats. The base just rests on the deck and the whole assembly can be taken out. Be safe out there.

    Boat right sizing

We have a CD 16 Cruiser and it fits our needs just fine. It's econimical, easy to tow, easy to launch and proivides a V berth for overnighters and safe. The shortfalls are its limited space, the porta-potty is very small and for us worthless, if you're not beached or in a sheltered anchorage...

Tall guy - which models won't work?

I'm 6' 3" with a CD 16 Cruiser. Ya can't stand at the helm, but I've never needed to. Bonking the head is standard, just move slow so you don't damage the boat.

    C-Dory 16 for large people?

Howdy, I have a CD 16 cruiser; I'm 6 ft 3 inches tall weighing in at approx. 178 lbs. Most of my height is in my torso and I have plenty of headroom while seating at either the helm or passenger seat. I do wish the seatback was a little higher and I've had to put seat slides in for legroom. As...

    1998 C-Dory 22 Cruiser, no motor, Midway GA $10,000

Hey Brats, If I remember the original posting from a year or so ago, the buoyance pontoons were aviation/marine grade aluminum. Aluminum is easy to cut and sand/file down. Using a pneumatic highspeed grinder, the proper cutoff wheel and a little water to keep from heat build up affecting the...

C Bouy 16 Cruzer Tempress Navistyle low back

Hey Scott Fletcher, The seat looks like a nice fit. May I ask where you got it. The cushioning in my helm seat isn't doing the best job protecting my boney rearend. Thanks in advance. Spuncopper

Need help in taking off bow rail on 16 Cruiser

Hey pluscount, The bulkhead isn't structural. It's held in place with a couple of small brackets and then pasted over with some type sealant. I cut an access opening so I could install an "anchor chain locker". While doing so I used a Rockwell Sonocrafter to carefully smooth up the sealant...

Need help in taking off bow rail on 16 Cruiser

Hey, They're through bolted. You'll have to either cut through the forward bulkhead or remove it and dig through the foam to access them. The bulkhead is pretty thick plywood. The adhesive is also the bedding compound the prevent water intrusion through the bolt holes. Take care and be safe...
