It's probably harder on your body than the boat. The C-Dory really does best at just slowing down in the rough water. It can be a miserable ride, but it's a very seaworthy boat! How much gas did they use while doing circles around you? :mrgreen:

I had a Tohatsu 6hp on my 22, and it could push it at hull speed, or about 5mph. I wouldn't go much less than that in HP, but you really don't need more than that either. Unless you get up to a much higher HP, you're not going to get much more speed than what the 6hp produced. Colby

Install a Webasto heater! I had one in my 22, and now in my 25. Safe and efficient. At least as well as can be expected for an uninsulated C-Dory! 8) Colby

Thanks Jeff. I rethought the caps to seal the slider pin as well. Unless I'm sealing both ends, I think it's better just to leave them open so any water or sand can flush out. There is very little freeplay between the pins and bushing anyway. I may still have to grease the pins every so often...

I have my kicker set up to run off the second outlet port on my main fuel filter. I also have a small 3 gal fuel tank that I keep in my bilge as a back up emergency tank. I do not run ethanol in that little tank, so can draw from that one to fill my honda generator, or if I desire not to run...
