2026 Delta and Bay Extravaganza Sign Up!

Out on Dale Hollow Lake now for two weeks. Just making sure everything works after the winter, and tweaking some upgrades. :)

    Canvas

That's rediculous if you meant to include 4 zeros. When I had mine built for my 25, about 5 years ago, with three bows, it was about $1,000. One less zero. And was made out of Sunbrella. Of course that was just the bimini, no sides or back. I had one done for my 22 about 14 years ago,and...

Oops, meant SMF, not SAC. ;-)

2026 Delta and Bay Extravaganza Sign Up!

I'll bring a vegetable side dish. Most likely a 3 bean salad if that's ok. Still not sure if Rosanne will be coming along. Keeping my fingers crossed. :-) If she comes, she'll be either flying out of SFO the morning of the 24th, or out of SAC on the 25th. Colby

2026 Hontoon Island Gathering. March 3,4,5. DeLand Florida on St. John’s river.

Looks like a great turnout. I recognize some of them folk! :-) I'm there in spirit with you all. Rosanne is having a great time and staying busy in El Salvador. (She's with a medical mission group "Helping Hands".) I get a Whats App message from her nightly. Took her and two friends to the...

    Trailering

As someone said, it depends on the height of your boat on the trailer. On my 22, I did use two plastic sleeves made to fit over the tilt and trim pistons, and towed with the outboard trimmed up. But nothing between the motor and the trailer. My 25 sits high enough, that unless I'm going over a...

2026 Delta and Bay Extravaganza Sign Up!

Just some fond memories I have of the trip in 2023. Looking forward to seeing all and doing it again.

2026 Delta and Bay Extravaganza Sign Up!

Hi John. As the days go by quickly, when will you be coming out with the costs and other specifics for this event. I seem to remember sign up for food as well. Sitting here inside, on a windy and cold day, thinking about summer cruising. That and I'm lookng at a few weeks away from home in...

    Hydraulic to EoH?

Just wondering, while here on the subject of brakes. Since several of us with EOH disc brakes have experienced issues with the cheaper calipers, with the rubber boots around the caliper sliding pins disentigrating, and this is for those of us that trailer long mileage, have folks with surge...

    Hydraulic to EoH?

What brakes do you currently have? Surge hydraulic? All electric? Drums or disc? Stainless steel? If it's a newer trailer, I'll assume you have surge disc. As Bob and Tom said, it's not that hard to change over to EOH. It's the cost of the actuator, around $1000, and a controller if your...

    Garmin AC/PC Adapter

I have an old Garmin Ac/Pc Adapter, p/n 010-10276-00. Says it's for a GPSMAP 2006 / 2006C. I forget what I used it for, but it wasn't a 2006, so it must work for other stuff as well. Anyone that wants it, can have it. Just let me know and be ready to put the cost of shipping in the Tip Jar...

    C Dory 22’ Trailer Recommendations

My 22 came with an EZ-Loader tandem aluminum trailer. Bunks, not rollers. It was a great trailer. I replaced the old trailer my 25 came with, with a Load Rite. Again, tandem axle aluminum. It works well also. My 22 came with surge drum brakes and I replaced them with straight electric drum...

Fell Marine, Man Overboard Device Update

HI Steve, To my knowledge, only the first FOB started, ie the skippers, kills the outboard. And a passenger can restart the boat after a few seconds, so they can come rescue you. The other Fob's that are started after the first one, will only set off a warning horn, but the motor will not...

Fell Marine, Man Overboard Device Update

Hey Harvey. Better late than never. lol. I've had my Fell MOB+ installed now for a season. For the most part I like it. However, occasionally I'll have an issue where the device kills the outboard when I don't want it too. I've got both my main and kicker hooked up through it. Seems like...

2026 Hontoon Island Gathering. March 3,4,5. DeLand Florida on St. John’s river.

John, at 7mph, our boats are starting to plow. I would suggest no more than 5mph maximum for slow speed minimum wake. (1200-1300 rpm). And for no wake, down to about 3-4 mph. (1000rpm).

    CD-25 Cruiser ENDEAVOR Salvage Sale

Ah, that makes sense now. Thanks for the drawing. I'd be very tempted to buy this cover from you, but I'm not sure about putting the eyebolt in there. If you get another buyer, take their money and run. lol. If you don't get it sold before or during Hontoon, let me know. I've been thinking...

    CD-25 Cruiser ENDEAVOR Salvage Sale

Thanks for those photos Dale. I have never used the Snad snaps before. Is the adhesive on them really that strong? I don't think I'd have any issue running a line around my roof mounted radar (it's towards the bow), and then either around my bow mounted search light, or rig up something to go...

    CD-25 Cruiser ENDEAVOR Salvage Sale

Hey Dale. I might be interested in the bow rain cover. Can you tell me more about it, how it’s attached under the brow, etc. I’m not coming to Hontoon this year as Rosanne is going on a medical mission to El Salvador over that same time period Colby

2026 Delta and Bay Extravaganza Sign Up!

Hey Harvey, Glad to see you back on C-Brats! lol. The first time Rosanne and I did this trip, we took an extra day or two after the event and cruised up to Old Sacramento and spent the night in the marina, returning the next day. River was flowing pretty good at that time, due to spring run...

2026 Delta and Bay Extravaganza Sign Up!

Works for me. Would be nice to have another slow boater with me. And there are some nice spots near the Duck Club to anchor and wait for the others if we get there before them. I actually plan on arriving Rio Vista, or nearby, on the 17th. But planning 500 miles a day driving out 2000 miles...
