    suzuki motor

Try clearing the spout with a toothpick. It could also be a failed or failing water pump. They are pretty easy to change. They are made of rubber and must be replaced occasionally. Sometimes mud daubers can plug this hole or other insects. Without the steady stream do not operate the motor as...

    Big blow for the PNW

What are they gonna have you do... hold a candle? If they do I bet it is one of those new flameless candles. Good luck finding one of those... My wife wanted some as stocking stuffers and I am on store #6 trying to find some. Maybe the mill bought them all just in case? :xnaughty

    Pot Pullers

Dusty, I was headed the very same direction... but I got the davit, block, puller and 2 weighted and rigged shrimp pots for less than the Ace puller. It was only lightly used... about 10 hours on the motor. How could I pass that up... (don't ask my wife). Now I just need some of you hard core...

Poor mans AK adventure or, captain license blog, the sequel

Ken, Thanks for sharing... Sounds like you are living the life... Hey, the very best thing I have found for heakling up those hands is... O'Keeffe's Working Hands Creme. It isn't cheap but it works great and it won't leave your hands slick or smelling like a French Bath House...

    Harmonic resonance from outboard

I had a similar issue with my Suzuki. It was a loose bolt on the steering arm. Check all the bolts on the transome for looseness. Hope you find the culprit. It sure made a difference when I did. Also check your cowling. Occasionally you may need to tighten it as well.

Poor mans AK adventure or, captain license blog, the sequel

Ken, make extra sure to stow that firearm unloaded. Also, you might want to talk to the other guides about their experiences shooting Halibut and perhaps you should try it with one of them first? I have had several Halibut in excess of #100 and have never needed to shoot one. I typically harpoon...

    Tuna - Albacore

Pat, That's a commercial 1/2 tote from Bomar Plastics. You can order them from Englund Marine. They are very heavy duty and mine has kept ice for 5 days in 100 degree heat. I like the one with the feet for the forklift. It is the perfect working height for gutting and gilling the days catch...
