    2007 22 Cruiser, $48,000 (Port Angeles, WA)

    This is a price update for our boat listed originally for $51,000. This includes the standard features, installed electronics and a few extras. We've taken off some small things (like the folding chairs, collapsible paddles, etc.). I'm motivated to sale since my wife javascript:emoticon(':D')...

    2007 22 Cruiser, $51,000 (Port Angeles, WA)

    Hey there, Yes, it was a great underway day last weekend. We love seeing other C-Dorys out and are bummed we can't make it to the Sequim gathering (Stacy is UW with USCG then). Thanks for letting us know about a possible buyer; we wrote them by email. We definitely will miss the community...

    Cleaning Dock lines

    I agree with the post above, might be time to replace them. Lines can be cheap insurance. If you want to try and save them, a soak in some water with a mild detergent, and then an agitation and a rinse would be about as far I would go. I disagree with pressure washing, especially if your lines...

    C-Dory Sightings

    We saw a "Hunky Dory" getting U/W from Haines, AK harbor this morning. It looked like a 22' Cruiser with blue trim and twin motors. Hondas, perhaps?

    Anchor Locker Drain

    We have a 22' 2006 as well, but with the anchor locker drain factory installed. It is about a 1/2" hole in the bottom of the locker on the port side. Where the hole comes through the hull there is a stainless steel clamshell installed on the outside with the opening facing aft. Don't forget...

    Trailering on the Alaska Highway (Alcan)

    If you check out our blog at http://web.mac.com/midwatch , you'll see photos of the "three stages of the road" as we like to call them: warning flags stuck by the side of the road for specific spots, washboard signs for particularly bad spots, and then gravel ( with or without flaggers and heavy...

    Trailering on the Alaska Highway (Alcan)

    We are now in Haines Jct, YT. We took the ferry from Cordova to Valdez, and then overnighted last night in Tok, AK. Tomorrow we will drive to Haines and then catch the ferry to Bellingham. So far, the roads are better then last year, but still alot of frost heaves and gravel. We also got a...

    Trailering on the Alaska Highway (Alcan)

    My husband and I just finished our USCG tour in Cordova, Alaska and begin our transfer tomorrow to Washington State. We thought it would be beneficial to others to give our tips on preparing the C-Dory for the Alcan. This will be our second trip on the Alcan as we picked up our shiny new...

    Lifesling = USCG throwable?

    As a boarding officer in the Coast Guard, I can say the first thing I look at when inspecting PFD's is that the label says,"U.S. Coast Guard approved" and then the approval number. As long as the lifesling is labeled as a Coast Guard type IV, then it's good to go. I also ensure that type IV's...

    Trip report: Cordova,AK

    Cordova certainly does have character. I'm a Boatswain's Mate on the Coast Guard Cutter Sycamore (225 foot buoy tender) homeported in Cordova. Check out our website for great photos and info about the town: http://www.uscg.mil/d17/cgcsycamore/. I've been here a year and enjoy it, although it...
