    NORCOLD not running on 12v

Pulled the refrigerator and replaced two 10-AMP fuses on top of the unit, both were blown. But, the problem persists. The unit will run on 120v but not on 12v. I suspect a power surge may have fried the 12v circuit. Both fuses are maintaining, so there is no short. Thoughts? There are two sealed...

    NORCOLD not running on 12v

I believe the unit is a 2005 vintage Norcold NR740BB. I was hoping not to have to remove the unit from under the captain seat. There's no other access to the rear of the unit in my 25' cruiser without removal. The wiring diagram shows that it should be wired directly to the batteries. Any chance...

    NORCOLD not running on 12v

2005 25' Cruiser. My NORCOLD stopped running on 12v but runs on shore power. Where is the fuse for the 12v circuit? All other thoughts are welcome. Thanks, SJH

Replacement door key- hard to find?

It took C-Dory more than two weeks to respond to my email. By then I had already figured it out. They said "You will need to contact Diamond Sea Glaze at 604-607-0091 for replacement keys."

Replacement door key- hard to find?

I thought I'd let other owners know that, after a bit of a search, I found replacement blanks for my 2005 25' Cruiser cabin and ignition locks. You might find these cheaper, I don't know. I thought I was lucky to find anything. C-Dory Key Blanks 2005 25' Cruiser Cabin lock...

    Fortress-11 Seating in Bow Roller

Marco, were you using a Fortress FX-11? I've put an inquiry into Fortress to see what they say about bow rollers. But, I'll take your advice and try retrieving really slow and see what happens.

    Fortress-11 Seating in Bow Roller

I've switched to a Fortress-11 on Catleen and I like the reduced weight but the anchor does not correctly seat in the bow roller. Instead of seating in the ready position, it rotates 90 degrees and seats sideways. I've noticed there are rollers that have a deep grove, mine is simply tapered. Any...

Thanks, under the table, is a good idea. I'll probably do that.

    USCG Documentation Interior Hull Numbering

Any thoughts on the best place for interior hull USCG Documentation Numbering? Here's the USCG parameters: The vessel must have the official number permanently affixed in block-type Arabic numerals of not less than 3 inches in height, preceded by the letters “NO .” on some clearly visible...

    Coast Guard Documentation

Moved Catleen from Chesapeake to Maine and will need to reregister her. Has anyone USCG documented their 25'? I've got a USCG net tonnage worksheet but thought I'd ask around before I get out the tape measure. USCG needs five net tons to qualify and informs me that "Vessels of more than 25 feet...

Achilles LT4 on 25' Cruiser Cabin Top?

As anyone substituted anything for the heavy plywood panels in the LT4? Also, sort of on the subject, do you think a Torqeedo 1003 will push the 25' Cruiser? It's the equivalent of a 3-horse. And, if you've mounted one, what type of adjustable transom mount did you go with? Catleen has a swim...

Achilles LT4 on 25' Cruiser Cabin Top?

Is anybody carrying an Achilles LT4 on the cabin top of a 25' Cruiser? I bought one but it sure seems heavier than the advertised 57 lbs. the plywood flooring adds a lot of weight. Suggestions?

What model inflatable are you using? Is that the Achilles LT-2? Does it leave marks on your cabin top? Thanks, SJH 25' Cruiser Catleen

Replacing Lenco Activators on 25' Cruiser

Thanks, Bob. I pulled on the frozen units once they were unattached but couldn't budge the wiring from inside the hull. I'll check out the problem a bit further when the weather is nicer.

Replacing Lenco Activators on 25' Cruiser

After ten years of salt water, my Lencos have locked up. I need to replace them, but I have no idea how I'm going to reconnect the new units. The wiring is not accessible from outside the hull, and the wires run somewhere under the deck, I guess. Has anyone done this before?

Wallas 95D Heater Cover Fan Not Working

The fan has failed to turn on a couple more times since my original post and I've always "corrected" the problem by tapping it with a filet knife.

    Seaward Heater Element Replacement

Good thing it was only the thermostat because there was no way I was going to break loose the heating element without ripping the unit off its mounts. I had the correct socket and monkey bar and, believe me, that thing was stuck.

    Seaward Heater Element Replacement

Guess I could try the thermostat first since it's more accessible. Sounds like a good Plan B. thanks, SJH

    Seaward Heater Element Replacement

Symptom: Hot water only warm. Plan: Replace Seaward heater element and thermostat. Question: Anyone replaced these parts before? It looks pretty straightforward but looks can be deceiving.
