WHEN DO WE RETIRE FROM BOATING?

Jim says, "I call this current time "my bonus years." I like to say "I'm past my expiration date." I like Jim's better. Well, I am the same age as Dr. Thataway (eighty eight) and although I never crossed the Atlantic on my own boat I did on a heavy cruiser and saw the Carribean on an LST. MY...

WHEN DO WE RETIRE FROM BOATING?

My wife Dotty was an outdoorzie person for most of her life. She also was a liveaboard for her first 18 years. Yet, inevitably, the time came when she could no longer safely climb onboard our 16 footer. We sold it and figured our boating time was over. Then, out of the blue, our son bought a 21...

    tempus fugit.

Thanks friends for the information. I do appreciate it. According to the article it was also called "The Silver Swan". I like that. The article also states that it was 88 years old when dismantled in 2015. That happens to be my age. Something to think about.

This photo was taken just 21 Years ago, in December 2003, on lake Union.. That's Pat Anderson in Daydream in the foreground and JoeP and me in Miss Mirth following. The old ferry Kalakala is tied up in the background. The next day it was towed up to Anacortes. What happened to it?

SOLD - 1996 16' Cruiser for sale in Michigan

looks like it has a swim step and a trailer with a spare. Does it have electric wiper(s)? I think it's a pretty fair price with the newer motor. Wish I was in the market.

Well, as a long time member, I have to say I love this site. I love everything about it. Truth be told, I don't understand 90% of the technical stuff discussed but I enjoy reading about it anyway. I love the name C Brats , forged in some long forgotten slight. I love the fact that I'm able to...
