    SOLD - 2007 C Dory 16' Cruiser $15,500 CDA area

I bought this and added lots of stuff for slow trolling Coeur d'Alene & Pend Oreille lakes. It works great. Unfortunately, my wife can no longer get in and out so we bought a fishing pontoon (hiss hiss, boo boo.) Boat is in Rathdrum ID, near CDA. 50 hp Honda 4 stroke, 403 hours on the tach...

Need trailer advice for a 16 Cruiser

My recently purchased 16 Cruiser came with a Karavan 3,100 lb capacity trailer. The Karavan is overkill. It’s heavy, too long and too wide for my new garage. I’m looking at a bunk EZloader 14-18', 2,300 capacity with a swing tongue. Any other recommendations? What are the pros and cons of...

Need help in taking off bow rail on 16 Cruiser

I want to put a bow mounted trolling motor on my 16. That will necessitate removing the bow rail and relocating the bow cleat forward. Easy peasy I thought. Not so fast Skippy. All the screws will turn loose but they will not back out. There also seems to be some adhesive under the...

    Mooring question

I pick up my 16 Cruiser next week. Some of the large lakes in Idaho/Montana have mooring buoys. How does one attach and detach to a buoy while single handed?

    Bought a 16 Cruiser. Questions.

Picking up a 2007 16 Cruiser with 50hp Honda/5hp kicker at Lake Pend Oreille nest week. Are there factory manuals for the boat? Is the current Honda BF50A manual all I need for the engine? I’m adding a Garmin echoMap 73 CHIRP chart plotter. How would you run the power and transducer cables...

Any 16s I can see in Northern Idaho/Eastern WA?

Any C-Brat 16s I can see driving a loop between Salmon-Missoula-Sandpoint-Spokane-Lewiston-Salmon from May 23 to May 28? I’m zeroing in on a 16 Cruiser as a good starter boat for fishing the large lakes, but I need to touch and feel a little. A 19 Angler would also be great! I can deviate...

Noob C Dory question #4 – boat ramp launching

I’ve never had a boat longer or heavier than a 14 ft. aluminum. What are the real world difficulties in launching from a decent ramp with larger and larger C Dorys? I’m not too worried about a 19 Angler, but the 22’s and 25’s seem a bit more challenging.

Noob C Dory question #3 – bow thrusters.

Since I like to slow troll on large lakes, I’m intrigued with the new GPS autopilot bow thrusters (Min Kota Terrova for example.) A “back of the envelope” calculation says that 24v/80 lb. thrust might be ok for a 22 footer and 36v/112 lb. thrust might be ok for a 25 footer. Advantages...

    Noob C Dory question #2 - radar.

For places like Lake Pend Oreille, Flathead Lake, Lake Koocanusa and Lake Powell/Mead, is ~$3k for radar worth it?

    Noob C Dory question #1.

Background: I’m retired in East Idaho (Salmon) and thinking about moving to Lake Pend Oreille in 2 years. I like to slow troll and drift fish (and sometime just drift.) Just the wife and I with an occasional 1-3 grandkids. Will have a slip on Pend Oreille but want a towable for Flathead Lake...
