    Lake Superior Beckons, Again

The ice fisherman are still bringing them in on Keweenaw Bay with a salmon run expected this next seek. Our thoughts have turned to summer and the opening of Camp Clow for the season. Our opening date is around July 1 with the first cruise to Isle Royale scheduled for departure on July 5 and...

    2003 Suzuki BF90 Problems

Our ongoing problems with our Suzuki have been analyzed by a Suzuki dealer as a failed Engine Control Unit. Sadly, this part is currently unavailable in the US and believe me, we've tried everywhere. There is one rebuilt one on E-Bay, but I'm not very anxious to give it a try. In...

    2003 Suzuki BF90 Problems

While on our latest cruise on the waters of northern Lake Huron our faithful Suzuki 90 started acting up and the engine warning light on the tachometer came on along with the warning beeps. Sadly, we cut our cruise short and loaded up and headed for home to do further analysis. The...

    BF 90 Suzuki

I purchased some spare washers (metal gaskets) to use when changing the oil on my 2003 BF 90 Suzuki engine and they don't fit. I bought them from a Suzuki dealer. I have since checked with two other dealers and they came up with the same part number after checking the serial number. The plug...

Meri Aura will be available for sale around March 10,2015. Time has caught up with us and we have truly become "ancient mariners" without the rhyme. We are currently exploring the St, John's River and will be joining the gathering at Hontoon State Park at the end of February. If you're...

    Snap rail failure

Just returned from a great trip to Isle Royale. We had noticed that our snap rail that holds the bimini in place was beginning to crack and by the time we had trailered home the center section had completed cracked off. Called the folks at Proctor Canvas and they no longer carry the composite...

Another new owner on Lake Superior

We've been happily reading the Forum and feel the time has come to join in. Pat and I acquired our 2003 22ft. Cruiser last August. We're not the same Pat and I living in Rochester, NY. After 65 years of sailing and closing in on 80 it seemed time to try our hand as power boaters. We still...
