    C-Dory Quality Control

I also had this hoaky right angle fitting fail and worse yet on a separate occurrence the hot water hose to the shower popped loose while underway - didn't notice until I slowed down to heat up a cold cup of coffee and stepped down into several inches of water on the floor (bilge). First panic...

    Problem with Wiper Coverage

I custom ordered pantographic wiper blades on my CD25 "Sea Skipper" which the factory made standard thereafter. To improver coverage, I raised the wiper motors 1-1/2" and lengthened the arms so that the 80 degree sweep angle would cover more glass. Tried 100 degrees, but this required shorter...

    morse electronic controls??

Les installed the ZF Mathers controls on my boat - they are as smooth as glass and a real pleasure to use. Easily adjusted and they retain their settings. The installation includes a remote handheld control (a 3rd station) which allows me to operate the boat from the bow, cabin top, or any...

    Hot Water Duration

Quote: 16 hours! Wow! Did NASA insulate that baby? You sure there isn't a plutonium slug in the bottom of it? Does your hot water glow in the dark? Joe. At the speed I cruise water friction on the hull keeps the tank quite warm! Seriously - the tank is well insulated between the stainless...

    Hot Water Duration

The white "peeling" vinyl is a protective covering to minimize scratching during manufacturing & installation of the water heater. Underneath you will find a beautiful all stainless water heater. You can safely store items next to it as long as they don't block air flow to battery chargers...

    Raymarine E-80 puzzle

The E80 may be displaying speed over water rather than speed over ground (GPS). You can calibrate speed over water which is coming from the combination paddle wheel~depth sender. Calibration is available when the depth screen is displayed and the menu key is pushed. Scroll down to the proper...

    Removing an AFI Wiper Arm

I left the plastic covers off on my wipers when I reinstalled them. Easier to adjust or remove and the cover traps moisture promoting corrosion. Also used silicone grease (Superlube) on the set screws and splines to reduce corrosion.

    Sea Skipper is looking great!

C-Dory installed the round inspection plate that you see in the floor of the V-berth. I noticed a small water leak during my last cruise of 2005 and Les arranged for a stop at C-Dory’s factory site on the way home. The leak was only apparent when heading into chop where typically you would use...

    Sea Skipper is looking great!

Thanks for the complements, Jim & others. I'm blushing! Many of the ideas incorporated in Sea Skipper come from the postings of fellow C-Brat owners and from Les Lampman and his crew at E. Q. Marine who have done outstanding work. Posting these pictures gives me the chance to return the...

Time to recarpet the trailer siderails.

Steve Your auxiliary side guides (cheek blocks) look great. The vertical supports on your trailer appear to be quite substantial. Do you think the L brackets (1-1/2” ? light gauge square tubing) furnished on the units sold by West Marine would have enough strength to hold boat in place? Thanks,
