    09/10/05 - Erie Canal

Fran Sea, You don't need six. Three will do. We liked to bring the starboard side to the wall. The CD 22 is small enough to turn around in the lock if need be. Take a look at this very nice dock in Newark. http://www.2wander.com/2wander/NY%20Canals/0507%20CS%20Canal-Fairport/9786.htm...

    Cobb portable grill

We use the Cobb Grill on our RV. Love it. Its construction permits putting food on the plate/grill above the fire pit as well as around the fire pit in the “moat”. One of our favorite meals is a nice 2.5 lb roast on the grill, with carrots, onions and potatoes in the moat. With only 6-8...

    Wandering the NY Canals

Dun and Becky, I’m glad you enjoyed the pictures. Soon, I’ll be posting some on the western end of the canal. If you want to first see the sights over your own deck, don’t look until you return. On the other hand, an image may whet you anticipation. At the very least, you can inspect docks...

    09/10/05 - Erie Canal

David, Rafting to Halcyon is the way to go. They have more experience than anyone I know. And that is after Penny and I worked 92 locks on our recent trip to the NY canals. Now, if Bill’s fee gets too high, talk to El. She’s really the one in charge and is a soft touch. Should you go...
