My first 25 had only trim tabs. I added the Permatrim after several months (per advice given here) and it made all the difference in the world. MUCH better ride in chop. The new 25 came with trim tabs and had the Permatrim installed before I took delivery.

I've had my 25 C-Dory in closely spaced 5 ft waves for hours, heading up Tampa Bay, and it handled it great. I had to slow down and it wasn't pleasant but no danger. The 26 Venture would handle it even better.

Last December I got caught in the fog. It was bad and I didn't realize how hard steering is when you don't have a focal point. Autopilot and radar made live much much nicer. It was worth the investment for the peace of mind it gave me in that moment alone.

They do have someone of a shower but it's wooden and somewhat open to the elements. I showered on the boat when I've stayed there.

Peglegs/Sabine Marina in Pensacola Beach is really cool and right across the street from the beach. Not many people know about it. It's normally cheap per day but for a month Im sure they'd give you a great rate.
