Pat I have enjoyed following along with your blog, and a question arises. If you had not had a dog with you, would a dinghy have been required? It seems like shore trips for Baxter was your main use. Outside of that, did you really need to have a dinghy on this trip?

The ad says 2017. I don't think that the current company is building the CC. But look how the motors are spaced. Without the kicker there looks to be room for a swim ladder, yet I always see twins positioned right next to each other in the middle. Is wider spacing possible on a mono? I mean...

We took a ride on a boat with Hamilton Jet Drives which can stop in it's own length from 40mph. You ought to see that bow wave! It looks like you are about to become a submarine. Operating that Swampscott Dory would be a blast, and a real feeling of accomplishment once mastered.

Just a suggestion but perhaps the Ranger and Marinaut forums could be combined into a SOB---Some Other Boats---forum, for discussion of any boat other than a C-Dory? I see Owners moving up and down and in and out of C-Dory's, and some do own more than one boat, and that might be a place for such...

Les leaving the country is what put the Marinaut project on hiatus. If he was still building them and writing about them here then I do believe that they would still be being built and sold. I read everything here about them and really like a good bit of the thinking that went into these boats...
