    Removal of racor fuel filter.

Hey gang. I just finished changing the filter element for a Racor 120Rac-01. The element part number S3240. Basically an easy project except, the plastic element bowl would not unscrew. I figured #1. Gotta be done. So if I end up destroying the bowl it can be replaced. #2. Have some fun and see...

    moving batteries forward

Hello, I have a CD 16 cruiser. I've been playing with the location of a second battery for two seasons now. At present I have it in a battery case strapped on the centerline to the bunk supports. This weight distribution works, but it's located where the port-a-potty sits. Placing it forward...

Sierra Marine Engine and Drive Parts

Thanks for the input. It's pretty much follows what I was thinking. I'll probably use their filters. I've found Browne's out of NJ to be reasonably priced and have all the parts needed for Suzuki OB. They are fast and reliable too. Thanks again. Be safe out there.

Sierra Marine Engine and Drive Parts

Hey folks, Has anyone had any experience with the Sierra Marine and Drive Parts? I'm seeing more and more marine parts suppliers carrying these. There appears to be everything from oil and fuel filters to water pump kits. I'm one that believes in using OEM parts whenever possible, but Sierra...

    Overheating alarm question

I had a similar problem with my Suzuki DF 50. The fix was simple but frustrating to find. On the Suzuki there is a "vent hole" just above the "pee hole". This was plugged by dirt dabbers causing a periodic alarm. Once this was cleared out I've never had another problem. Hope this helps.

Racor 120 R-Rac-01 gas and water filter

It was changed a little over a year ago. After I cleaned everything up I "lubed" it with a very thin coat of petroleum jelly (Vaseline). The last time it was changed it was done at a marina so I don't know if a lube, if any, was used.

How to avoid wobbling when anchored

Hello, thought I'd add my two cents worth here. I have the 16 Cruiser and use it mainly on a freshwater lake. Generally I anchor in about 4 ft. of water. I anchor using a bow and stern anchor. The stern anchor is attached to a "Y' bridle with 6 ft. of chain. Since we have so many stumps and...

    Need Manuel Wipers help

Hello. I have 2007 16 Cruiser. I had to tightened mine up and I believe it was a 1/8" or 3/16" allen head wrench. I had to fumble around since I couldn't see to fit it in. You may need to take a scribe and clean it out.

    Cdory 16 vs Cdory 19

Oops, one other thing to consider. Your age and physical conditioning may be a factor in deciding between a 16 and a 19 footer. My wife and I are in our sixties. I'm 6'3" @ 185 lbs. My wife is 5'3" @ 110 lbs. We both exercise four - five times a week. All of our classes include balance...

    Cdory 16 vs Cdory 19

Hey, I have a 16 cruiser and we do enjoy it most of the time. However if I could have a "do-over" I'd have gone for the 19. We use it in a fresh water lake here in SC. *We have done several overnighters and quarters are very tight. * With a full load of food, water, 12 gals of gas and our...

    4WD for towing?

We use to laugh at ourselves and say, "Four wheel drive just gets you in trouble further out." Having said that, with tongue-in-cheek, it's nice to have. It can keep you out of trouble and, at times, can be used to help others. The question to ask, "Is it worth the extra maintenance and...

    Build quality

Unfortunately, I've had several "issues" with the quality control of my CD. The gel-coat appears "soft" compared to other boats I've had, there are areas of over spray between the blue gel-coat and the white. There are dirty fingerprints imbedded in the interior joints, the motor rail cap is...

    "E-15" Warning !!!

Not the point gentleman! The point is there were various efforts being made to find an alternative fuel/energy and I have my politics right. The puppet president of big business was instructed by his handlers to end the alternative fuel programs. He was instructed on who to appoint to his...

    "E-15" Warning !!!

I agree on what everyone is saying... I became interested in alternative energy in the 1970's when a utility company had regulations passed dictating how/what/where/ and when I could do specific things om my property/home... I watched, during the oil crisis of the 1970's, as small entrepreneurs...
