Advice on Teaking the Cabin Floor

Bob, You need to write an autobiography, if you haven't already. You have to be one of the most interesting guys on the planet.

Advice on Teaking the Cabin Floor

Thanks for the nice compliments guys. It was a lot of trial and error, and total hours. One thing I can do is dimension the sections and add some detailed photos so if someone wanted to take on the same project, they would have a leg up. I had to start with cardboard cutouts.

Advice on Teaking the Cabin Floor

Well it's been four years since I had the initial idea for this project but I finally completed my three-section teak cabin floor. This removed the curvature of the cabin floor plus raised the center of the aisle about 3". Both are big pluses in my opinion. And then there's the beauty of the...

    most awsome halibut recipe

Love the topic. Halibut is my favorite fish and I have several great recipies (3/4 of a b ottle of chardonny and on my crappy blackberry....). My favorite is baked with a stuffing of brie, dungenous crab and shrimp- smothered with a berre blanc sauce. But what I wanted to share is my simple...

    "Intermittent"wiper switches; input, experience et

Charlie, If this operates as described, it may be a good way to go. Not much detail to go on (from the information) however certainly a lot less effort than I went through for about the same price. I'm very interested to see how it works out. Please keep us posted.

    "Intermittent"wiper switches; input, experience et

Mark, A potentiometer is a resistor that you can change the value linearily by turning a knob. In my case I used one that varies from zero to 500K ohm in just 3/4 of a turn. It wasn't an easy thing to build however still well worth the effort. I commend Dave Mason for his desire to build...

    "Intermittent"wiper switches; input, experience et

I built and installed an "intermittent wiper" circuit two years ago which is virtually identical to the one proposed by Dave Mason. It's been the best modification I have made on the boat and I use it all the time. I tweaked some of the resistor values so my delay varies from 1.5 seconds to 60...

Troubles with my new (to me) Tomcat

I concur with Bob about double clamping. I bought my boat new in 2006 and didn't get all my leaks stopped until I double clamped everything.

    01/21 - 01/23 Seattle Boat Show/C-Brat Gathering

I'm a little behind catching up on these post however Tom's comments about Master Marine's focus on more traditional fishing boats hit home with me. Last weekend on the 710 AM morning radio fishing program Larry Carpenter (MM's owner) was interviewed about the SBS. He talks about some of the...
