    05/18 - 05/19 - Friday Harbor Gathering

I Just got home from the Friday Hbr. CBGT. I took the long way home ;-) After dropping Ann off at Belingham Wed. morning, so she could drive home to work on Thursday, I spent a few days cruising alone. I made the mistake of spending the holiday weekend at Stuart Is. The dock was filled with...

    cuddy hach leak

Jake I also had a leaking front hatch. When I removed the hatch I found the core was soaked. I dug out all the wet balsa, let it dry out really well, and filled with thickened epoxy. Sealed the hatch real well when I reinstalled. Good luck. Terry ps: I would be carefull using 5200. You may never...

    Looking for Radar

Since Peter has let the cat out of the bag. Yes I am very excited about the Furuno. Just goes to show, the best part of owning a C-Dory is the friends we've made thru the C-Brats. Thank you Peter. Terry

    Looking for Radar

Boris, the 1623 sounds like a good unit. I have an older Garmin 172C that has been very reliable. We do most of our boating in the San Juans & Gulf Is. This summer we are going to Desolation Sound and I have been dreaming about the inside passage. Chip. Recently I was on a friends boat that had...

    Looking for Radar

I'm ready to upgrade to radar. The Furuno 1623 seems to be the base model and has good reviews. Does any one know of a killer deal on one? I have looked on craigslist and ebay for the older model 1621, but they are hard to find. When I do find one, it is snached up quickly, like a C-Dory. Any...

    Port Angles Ferry

Pat The Blain to White Rock to Cabbage Is, sounds like a good idea. I'll Google Blain marina and see what the scoop is. Got your schedule, thanks. We might be able to leave a day or two early and cross paths along the way. Ann is still working so it depends on her time off. Terry

    Port Angles Ferry

Thanks George & Bill I figure it will cost about $500 in gas for the boat, round trip from Bellingham. Sounds like the ferry wouldn't save any money but it may save some time. The run from Nanaimo to Comox looks pretty exposed. Not a lot of places to duck into for shelter. Right now I'm leaning...

    Port Angles Ferry

We are planning the trip to Comox in July and thinking that it might be a good idea to tow the boat up there. I tried to get a quote from the Port Angles, Victoria ferry system web sight. It seems you have to give up a lot of information and make a reservation to find out how much it costs...
