F-150 Ford tow rig for sale

Well the F-150 sold the first day I parked it down town. Had three parties wanting to buy it. I had a chance to hook up the Mary Ellen and tow it down to fill up with gas. I am really pleased how the new Tundra feels, it probably is overkill for a 22' crusier, but sure feels nice. Plenty of...

F-150 Ford tow rig for sale

After 16 faithful years of service I am selling our 1995 F-150 XLT short box extended cab 4wd pickup. It has the 5.8 liter engine with auto trans and tow package. It is as clean as a 16 year old pickup can be, never kept outside, always serviced regularly and has 108,000 miles. It has pulled our...

    Trailer Boat Centering System

Yes, they are a snug fit and I have never had any trouble with them moving while loading. This method has worked for me for about 9 years. They are easy and cheap to build.

    Trailer Boat Centering System

When I first got the Mary Ellen I noticed the problem of getting the boat to center on the trailer. I came up with a easy fix that works for me. If you look at our album on the first page you will some pics. I simply slip the carpeted guides over the trailer side guides and load the boat. I can...

    Best very small dinghy motor

I just bought a new Suzuki 2.5hp at the SBS. It is light, 29 lbs and has a neutral lever. I have yet to try it on the dink, but have run it in a tank. It is very quiet and starts easy. I really like the looks of it. I tried a Honda 2hp, but did not like the clutch and noise of an air cooled engine.

    EFI vs. Carburated

We have twin 2001 Honda 40hp outboards on our boat. They are ten years old last July. I always run blue stable in the gas, drain the carbs before winter storage and spray some winter storage goop into each cylinder and then turn the motors over so it coats the whole cylinder. I also change the...

    Wallas Smoking...help!

Got the Wallas 95 DU installed this morning and turned it on, bingo works fine. As I mentioned before the only thing I was worried about was the blower fan going out and causing bigger repair costs. It is very hard to hear a difference as I have had the stove 10 years. I am sure it has changed...

    Wallas Smoking...help!

Just heard a truck in the driveway and it was UPS at 8pm. Out of the truck he came with our stove. That's amazing to me as I just delivered it up to Seattle yesterday and it's back on Friday night. For the ones not familiar with Washington, it's about a 100 mile trip one way. UPS deserves some...

    Wallas Smoking...help!

As I stated a few days ago I decided to take in our stove for service to Scan Marine. I got up to the store about 11am Thursday and dropped off the stove. Mike looked it over and said it looked clean and should not take to long to service. I got a call about 4:30pm stating that they would have...

    Wallas Smoking...help!

As long as we are talking Wallas stoves here's a question for some of you. How long typically does it take to start your stove, with the red light on and burner going. I have a Wallas 125 DU on our 2001 C-dory. It typically takes about 1 and 1/2 minutes if it is above 45 degrees or warmer...

    Wallas Smoking...help!

Well I can't stand it any longer, I have to jump in here. I have had our Wallas stove for 10 years last July and have had no trouble. It failed to start one time, cause was a low battery. Started the engines and it fired right up. I have decided to take it in to Scan Marine and have it serviced...

Thomas, left over gas goes in the truck or yard tools.

    Removing fuel from a C-dory 22 crusier

Hello Joe, I have never had any problem with condenstion. I have twin Racor filters. I keep the boat in an enclosed shop in the winter. My biggest concern has been the gas going bad. I use Blue Stabil, but feel better to put in fresh gas in the spring. I suppose I could take the gas out in the...

    Removing fuel from a C-dory 22 crusier

I like to remove all the fuel possible from the Mary Ellen before storing her for the winter. I have tried various methods to drain the two 25 gallon tanks. I purchased a spare hose with a pumping ball a couple of years ago. I put one end of the hose down thru the fill tube and hold a 5 gallon...

    Last cruise for the year

I needed to adjust some new keel rollers that I had installed so Nov. 1st was a very nice day to take the Mary Ellen up to Mayfield Lake. When we got there it was only 39 degrees so I fired up the trusty Wallas heater and off we went. Not another boat on the lake all day. Got the rollers...
