    05/16 - 05/19 - North Carolina Loop

I'm a new-be here so please forgive me for asking dumb questions. My wive and I just picked up a 2008 19' C-Dory last wk. end. We live in Western NC and are looking forward to making it to one of the groups get-togethers once we get to know our new boat. We've been sailing for the past 15 years...

    Power Panel Cover

Sunbeam: Thanks for the pic, that shouldn't be too hard to duplicate.

Boarding Planks, Ladders, and Other Ideas

Sea Wolf: Shadow was a great looking dog. Thataway: I've also looked at the pet steps. I like the ramp idea better because we humans can also use it. I also like the ladder off the bow. May end up with both sometime in the future.

    Power Panel Cover

Sea Angel: a combination of snaps and velcro sounds like a good idea. Can anyone direct me to a photo of a soft cover. I've searched but come up empty handed, so far. Thanks Terry

Boarding Planks, Ladders, and Other Ideas

Sea Wolf: Your comments Are all valid ones. Let me explain how and why I plan to use the ramp. It's not so much for me to use as it is my crew. I did join the old geezers club ( turned 70 ) last month. But I don't have any trouble yet, jumping off the boat to secure the ramp for the crew. The...

    Power Panel Cover

Based on what I'm hearing, I may try a soft cover first. I probably won't pick up the boat until after the holidays. But when I do and it has the snaps for the soft cover like I suspecting, it would be an easy project to make a soft cover. If I don't like the soft cover then I could always...

    Power Panel Cover

Sunbeam: thanks a bunch for the pic's. I think I can make a cover like that maybe out of plywood. May also add a couple strips of wood for an additional chart/magazine rack. Your right about the mod's, I haven't even got the boat yet and I already have a list of changes/upgrades planned.!

Boarding Planks, Ladders, and Other Ideas

Has anyone considered using a loading ramp such as this one sold at tractor supply for a boarding ramp? http://www.tractorsupply.com//ProductDi ... _vc=-10005 It folds, is light, and is reasonable at $40. Should be easy to strap on the cabin roof.

    Power Panel Cover

Thanks to all for your comments, Thataway, it is the panel behind the console. I suspect that Sobelle is right, it probably did have a snap-on cover at one time or other. Sunbeam, I haven't pick up the boat yet so I can't look for the snaps. When I do get the boat I will fabricate a cover of...

    Power Panel Cover

Hi All, This is my first post here on this forum. I'm currently negotiating on a 2008 C-Dory. On inspecting the boat I noticed that the electrical panel was not covered in any way. The PO says that that's the way its always been. Is there a cover missing. Sure seems like it should be better...
