    Cdory compared to Bayliner 2452

Howdy MCCML, We went from kayaks to a C-Dory 22 (and we still use the kayaks). The C-Dory provides range, comfort out of the rain and sun, a decent bunk, a place to cook a meal or heat coffee, and a portapotti. You can strap the kayaks to the roof and take along kids and dogs if you want. A...

2001 22 Cruiser, $37,500 (Alexandria, VA) no longer for sale

Jim Hughes' beautifully rigged 2006 TomCat coming up for sale made us sharpen our pencils and think hard about accelerating our decision. After a lot of consideration, we decided that we will wait another year or two. The Otter is no longer on the market. Thanks to those who expressed...

    Another newbie...in need of assistance

Tim, You are a perfect candidate for a C-Dory. Wish I was nearby so I could take you out on ours. We have two girls, now 9 and 6, and have had a 22 for the past 5 years. The girls love it and we use it the way you intend -- short trips, some overnighters, lots of beaching it and picnicking...

    2006 TomCat 255, $114,000 (S. Miami, FL)

Jim, That is a shame. Hope things work out. We may be interested in the boat, but I'd like to find out that your issues disappear and the sale is suspended after all the work you've put into rigging her and getting her just right! Sent you and email. All the best,

2001 22 Cruiser, $37,500 (Alexandria, VA) no longer for sale

Put a price on this in the title -- $37,500. Never liked the "make me an offer" approach. Am still not planning to advertise elsewhere or consign until spring. (Of course, this means I'm going to have to give it a fresh wash and wax in case someone comes looking!)

    The Trouble with Trailers (lights)

I got tired of replacing bulbs and wiring. I made a light bar using PVC pipe that I attach to the stern of the boat and take off before launching. Problem solved. Takes about 10 minutes to put it on, run the wire, and secure it along the side of the trailer with velcro.

    Tachometer registering too high

Thanks guys. Jiggling wires and thwacking the dial are the kinds of recommended fixes that are within my mechanical skills! Hope to get out this week to give them a try.
