    Length of your inflateble?

To re-cap on this subject; I ended up buying a used 10 ft Zodiac. It has wood floors. I have to say that even though it does fit on the top of my boat it is quite heavy and a major pain to get it up there. Just about impossible to do by myself. I'm going to try to sell it this summer and get...

    Prop Choice

Well I voted for the 3 blade aluminum mostly because I know mine works well. I would love to try out one of the composite props. One of those may have saved me a prop shaft replacement. My only fear is that if I hit something that would normally ding my alum prop, would probably destroy the...

    Stainless Steel Prop

I have an 03' NOS Yami 75f. I hit a gravel bar last summer and ruined my aluminum prop. When I went to put on the new one I noticed that the propshaft was bent :cry . (600.00 repair bill). I would never count on the "hub spinning" to save anything. Here's a pic.

    Yamaha, 4 stroke motors

I have a 75f and can't be happier with it. In my opinion it has more than enough power. I use it for water skiing, fishing, and have hauled lots of people and camping gear. Always gets up on step in a heartbeat. I saved 1000.00 over the 90f and have no regrets. Make sure you get the right prop.

    Need a kicker bracket fabricated...

I built the dogon dory bracket but instead of buying a prefabbed plastic mount I made one using 3 pieces of 3/4" plywood sandwitched together with wood glue. I spent about 25.00 total. I would say that it is plenty strong enough. I have been running my 10hp Johnson all summer with no...

    Sundog Adventures

Speaking of dipping in the Kenai, I usually go a little later (23rd) and rarely see any other boats. Caught 30 fish in an hour this year. I usually go on someone elses boat because I'm very afraid of ruining my prop. Especially after the fiasco at Halibut cove this summer. Sundog, Do you...

    07/02 - 07/03, Naked Island, Alaska

Bad news for catdogcat.. While fishing in Halibut Cove Lagoon last Saturday I messed up and hit a gravel bar. Wasted my prop and bent my prop shaft on the new Yamaha. :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry . The boat is now sitting at Kachemak Gear Shed awaiting parts and a...

    My homemade radar arch

Thanks for the compliments. Especially from Tyboo. If I could get a few people to make some orders I would think about making a batch of them and selling them at a fair price. Only catch is you have to live in Alaska so they could be picked up or delivered. Everyone can take a look at it in...
