    Hosteling to Bella Bella

Mark, The drive to Bella Coola is a great one. It goes through some of the most remote country south of the Yukon Territory and it starts at Williams Lake which is only 5 hours north of the border. To me, its worth doing for the drive itself. Plus you can set your own schedule and it will...

C-Dory 25 Deck Sole Hatch Installation

How many in a case Mark? Maybe there is enough of us here that want to do this mod that a case would be a feasible purchase if shared. I would probably participate if I can figure a way to ship them up here at a reasonable price. Ron

    Autopilot

As far as I know intellisteer is not an auto pilot. It is remote steering for a kicker only. At least it was when I last checked them out. Cheers Ron

    Ahoy British Columbia

Boris, No question that the winters up here are the "windy grey drearies" and can't compare to the SoCal sunshine and temps. I guess thats why we were given the "Inside passage" to make up for it. :D Great to have you back again this summer. Kalec, What crowds? Stay away from Prideaux Haven...

    Powell River CBGT

Sorry to say that we are unable to host the PRCBGT for 2018. Anne and I have family and travel commitments for this year. Hopefully another BC based Brat will be willing to host a CBGT in a different location. We will bring the PRCBGT back in a future year. The CBGT's are such a great way...

    Bear Spray

And visa versa. I just checked with a local firearms dealer here in Powell River. With a valid firearms license ( this is not a hunting license) Canadians can pack shot gun that is unmodified from the factory with a minimum length of barrel of 18 inches and an overall length of 26 1/2 inches...

Tomcat 24 vs 25 Cruiser for Kids and fishing and rough water

If I read the original post correctly you were comparing the C-Dory 25 mono hull cruiser to the 24 Tomcat. I've never owned a Tomcat but my 25 cruiser has been in some nasty weather in the past 12 years and its been towed to a lot of destinations. Lake Powell, the Baja, Trent Severn, New York...

    150 Yammie enough motor for a 25

A fellow brat PM-ed me asking if a 150 Yamaha is a good choice for the 25. I thought I'd share my answers with every one because the question does come up quite often. My replies are below. Reply 1 "The 150 has been a good engine. It now has about 1300 hours on it. Almost all in salt water...

    Help - Condensation/heather

My Wallas 1800 is installed in the galley cabinet, to the left of the sink. I couldn't achieve the 12" loop either, but I did it anyway. The exhaust tube goes as high as possible until it hits the underside of the counter top. It does not make a twelve inch elevation change. Probably only 8-10...

    Help - Condensation/heather

Wallas heaters draw combustion air from outside and most except the 1300 can be ducted. We have had the 1800 for 10 years now and have done nothing to it. Its very quiet, draws very little amperage and is ducted. We have not had any problem with condensation since the install. My current Wallas...
