Installing a thru-hull fitting in the indention near the transom. Want to order parts but not sure of thickness of hull there so without drilling a pilot hole yet, does anyone know about the length of thru hull fitting I should order. I will have a 1/2" backing plate on top of the hull. Thanks

So as far as sealing the core - My thoughts are using some West System epoxy inside the core wall, let it cure then install and seal with 5200. What is your take on this or ideas of better way. I want to do it right the first time.

Will get Groco bronze thru hull, flange and ball valve, appropriate hoses, etc. Will do the thru hull next to the bilge pump as Northwest Marine recommends. I had this issue. Changed out everything - Fuel hoses, water fuel separator, etc. Long story short my fuel pick up was lying in the bottom of my port tank. The molded nut was so corroded on mine I ended up screwing the tank up trying to loosen the thing. Cut the fuel pickup assembly out and...
