Bob - presumably you've seen more problems with the clear plates because... they are transparent. :) Ok, that was just bad. Ignore my terrible humor.

Bob - that's a good point, I know what you mean about the hose-ends only opening when they are connected. Maybe I could just carry an extra hose with the inline ball, and no fitting on the "out" end specifically for filling the generator. Then I could just pop it onto the quick-fitting on out...
