Isn't it funny that when oil was heading down to ten bucks a barrel a few years back that nobody was complaining that the big oil companies were setting the price too low? Why would they do that? Maybe they really liked us then and now we have made them mad.

Question. You are on a river in the middle of nowhere and get reports of possible tornadoes or worse you hear what sounds like a freight train coming down the river. Do you beach the boat and look for possible shelter or stay with the boat? Patrick

It is truly amazing how quickly the waters are evacuated from the lock. We started at one block being visible on the left, and in minutes there are 10 and more to come!

In 5 of our 6 lock adventures, we were the sole boat.

In one lock on our return journey from Chattanooga, we were accompanied by four other boats...fishing tourney.

My wife had visions of being in a fortress, awaiting the gates to open!
