I think I have come pretty close with my 25 and a 8 hp kicker. I have a light load on mine. I like going where I couldn't on another boat. I will probably never own a S/S prop. I am going to measure the depth one of these times. Patrick

What do you look for when inspecting trailer hold down straps? How often should you replace them? Would not like dropping the boat on the highway because one or more straps parted when they can be so easily replaced. Patrick

I have often wondered if it's not so much the weight of the vehicle but how the weight is distributed. I wonder if the Excursion is a better towing vehicle than a 3/4 pickup that has no extra weight in the bed. It seems to me that an empty pickup would have a tendency to be pushed around more...
