I finally decided for a Michigan Match Aluminum 3 Blade 14" dia x 13" pitch. I installed it and test it yesterday. RPMs went up from 4200 to 5200. Speed from 18 mph to 21mph. Not a great improvement in speed, but the engine runs much better, before it looked like it was overworked and it seemed...

Thanks for the feedback. I will try the 13" one and see how it goes. I started to look at Solas propellers, the 13" one looks like it comes only in a 12.5" diameter. The max I can have is 13 1/4" diameter. Will that make a difference? Thanks, Franco

Hi, I recently purchased a 1996 22 Angler with a 1996 Johnson 70. It came with the standard prop, 17" pitch. I serviced the engine and the mechanic indicated that the prop pitch is not correct. I get a max of 4200 RPM when I should get 5000+. Any ideas on what prop to use? Thanks, Franco
