SOLD - 06 Cape Cruiser Venture 23 for sale.

Bob's boat wasn't free but was in great condition and after 12 years of wanting to be an official C-Brat I finally pulled the trigger. Proud owner of a very well kept '06 23' Cape Cruiser. :xnaughty :xlol :xtongue

    North Seattle Marine Surveyors

Couple questions. Any good references for the north Seattle area for a marine surveyor to give a 22' C-Dory a look and what a rough cost would be? Have never had a survey done and I am considering it for the purchase of an '06. Thanks, tight lines

    SOLD - 2006 C-DORY 22 ANGLER FOR SALE - Eastern NC 30K

From what I have heard, you are looking at around 2K to get somebody to tow it out. There are shipping sites and guys with 1 ton trucks looking for this kind of work. Good Luck.

    Evinrude Outboards gives up

Not done. In talking with an Evinrude dealer he said "they are re-tooling their outboards". Sounds like they are going to have a powerhead mounted on the transom with a tube that goes down to a jet-like intake. No lower unit??? Only time will tell. Sounds like the boats will have to be specific...

    C-Dory 25 vs Venture 23

Master Marine in Mt Vernon has a 23 Venture and a 23 Sport? I am sure they would love to let you crawl around on them, if they are open. They are just south of Mt Vernon on the west side of I-5. Have fun.

    C-Dory years to avoid?

Those all sound great to me. That is quit the project Tom. Can't wait to see that finished. Will be a one of a kind Beauty! I like the idea of a full transom and an outboard bracket. You would end up with a 24 footer and an eight foot long cockpit. Lots of fishing and lounging room.

    C-Dory years to avoid?

Thanks for the replies. I assumed that would be the answer. I have owned a few Whalers and you always have to keep an eye out for water intrusion. No different with the C-dory's. Instead of the boat weighing twice its original, you end up with rot. Had just heard from a local boat yard that...

    C-Dory years to avoid?

I am in the market for a 22' Angler and all the balsa rot stories have me with some cold feet. I really don't want to deal with rot and may look into a different brand of boat that is all fiberglass. Are there good years of C-dory's to look for? Or can rot be an issue with most of them? Thanks...

    Garage/Shop door height?

Wow, all awesome advice. What a great forum. Yes I will be building so I will shoot for 12' minimum. Just think a 14' would look a little odd on the house. I do have a wife, So? I will definitely have radar and will look into a collapsible arch. Poured concrete for 30+ years, so I will cut an...

    Garage/Shop door height?

Thanks for the quick replies. Looks like I will shoot for a 12' door. Would like to do a 14, but height restrictions may put an end to that. Glad to hear a 10 footer would work in a pinch, may have to watch out for radar? Want 12 foot ceilings in the garage, minimum. Then I can stand in the back...

    Garage/Shop door height?

Looking to build my final home, I hope? Will be living area on the second floor and car and boat storage below. Could anyone tell me what would be the best height for the garage door, to back a 22' to 25' C-dory under? Still struggling with the model I want to purchase, but since I pretty much...

    Orca in PNW

Wish our whales would start feeding on seals. Way too many out there and that would help the salmon population. My brother counted over 100 seals in front of his place feeding on the herring that were spawning in the tide flats. Sure, I will go there. We need to get our natives to stop netting...

    22'Angler Cruising Speed

Thanks for all the great info guys. What a great site, can't wait till I have one on the dock and can post some pictures in the near future. It will be a learning curve on the speeds I can travel in different weather conditions. Two years ago during our local salmon derby I had a buddy wait at...

    22'Angler Cruising Speed

Afternoon All, Just getting a bug to get rid of my deep "V" Robalo and go with something more economical but still solid. I mostly fish and spend a couple nights out a year. Just wondering what a normal cruising speed would be for a 22' Angler with the common 90hp 4-stroke on the back? Calm...
