    Cockpit size compare

Why would the 25 be wider? They both have a 8''6" beam? Is it the small steps on each side in the 23? I plan to cover those with bench seats. If so then the wouldn't the Venture 23 have a bigger cockpit footprint? I've only seen the one 23 at Hontoon....

Generator / Seating Platform for CD25

I was thinking of making my bench seats on the sides going back to front and the rear deck boat style if I get a 23 venture I'm looking at. I always thought the swim platform to be the perfect place for Honda gen set. Kind regards, John

    23' VENTURE 2008

How many hours on the Yamaha 150? This is the motor she came with I presume? I saw a new one at St John's meet up in February and really liked the stance. Just sold my 25 and miss it already, but was considering downsizing anyway. Can you send me more pictures to blinkr@frontiernet.net...

    Appoximate towing weight of a C-Dory 25

Towed my 25 fully loaded all over with a Silverado 1500 (9400 lb tow capacity) and it never complain once. My only concern would be in the mountains and the brakes. Got rid of the 25 and the Silverado. Now looking at a 22 with a diesel Canyon (7700 lb tow capacity) as my tow vehicle.

    Cruisn' the Keys

The trip from Marathon to Key Largo was 50-60 miles of moderate chop. Little wind in the AM but perfect day after Channel 5 (11am). I was a little nervous because we got caught in Small Craft Advisory out on the Okeechobee once and it was pretty rough. It also taught me how tough these little...

    Cruisn' the Keys

We're on the way back and have been holed up in Marathon due to SCA. It's time to get back to the real world. Current conditions are moderate chop, winds NNW 15-20 kts in Hawk Channel. Will the reef protect me? Is it dangerous or just a rough ride? The bay side looks bad, HC not so much from...

I tried to post last night but was using my phone and must have hit a wrong button because after typing on MY PHONE for fifteen minutes I must have hit the wrong button because it disappeared, so I said F it! I was tell you about the fire eating belly dancers. Wow! Of course we ate at Ma's...

In the water at Pennekamp! Saw Evelyns but we went to Gilbert's Tiiki Bar under the bridge. My buddy's brakes went out on his Ford so we're done for tonight but headed out in the morning.

    Cruisn' the Keys

No way! If it's doable, we're going the inside route. We're staying at World Wide Sportsman Sunday night so it sounds like we'll be a day behind you. We will be trying to gather some "local knowledge". Once we're in the water we'll know how far we can go in a day and make a plan. I've got my...

    Cruisn' the Keys

Some of the cruising sites I've visited say to take HC from Channel Five to KW, that there is no ICW past there. Is there a marked channel on the backside past C5? I'm traveling with another couple in his 25' Carver that draws 3.5 feet. TIA John & Karen

Bob & Alice - Wow! That's a lot of useful information! First, I don't have a dingy. Neither does the other boat I'm cruising with. Don't these bars, marinas, and eateries have transient slips/parking? Water taxis? Is that a must have? I do have a Waterway Guide. Oh, my tow vehicle is a 2011...
