Starboard electronics mounting plate for a C-16

Thanks guys. All one has to do to lower the shelf is to unscrew the legs, cut them shorter, and reinstall a little further back. I started out at the highest point since it's easier to shorten than lengthen legs. There's also a couple of hidden "pockets" under the shelf that can be...

    Anybody need a tow?

Actually, this is the true story. Drug running RIB manufactured by a boat builder and sold to a very limited clientel. Pretty cool. What's illegal about selling "high speed uncatchable craft with a low radar signature"? I 'spect it could sure haul grass! Don

I wonder what it's really used for!

Starboard electronics mounting plate for a C-16

Many Brats put a piece of starboard on their transom so they can experiment with transducers etc. without constantly filling old holes and drilling new ones. I'm like that about electronics. Never totally satisfied, I like to experiment but after seeing and filling'/matching dozens of holes...

    10/16 - C-Dory Gelcoat Class

Well I sure as heck hope someone who attends will videotape Scott's seminar and make it available to those of us who can't go! Some people are adept at picking up techniques and procedures by reading and studying. I'm not one of those! If a picture is worth 1000 words, a videotape would be...

    10/16 - C-Dory Gelcoat Class

I ran into those thin areas on both the Jenny B and the C-Brat. I didn't get specially thickened gelcoat - when I needed it I added a thickening agent. The only difference between your procedure and mine is that I used an artist brush NATURAL BRISTLE ONLY and "painted" then tipped the area...

    Wanting a 22 cruiser

Actually, Dan, the traditional Panga has been around decades before a US manufacturer improved the design and started building them here in the US. We see them all the time down here and especially around Ensenada. No biggie. Even the Mexicans are buying their fiberglass Panga hulls from China...

    Wanting a 22 cruiser

Nice boat, but I really liked the liner. We call 'em blondes in Southern California. Don

    Wanting a 22 cruiser

Well, it could be that you don't fully understand the Brat site. This is the third rather cryptic thread you've started on here re: the Panga trade, starting with this one followed by this one and now this topic. So here are a few suggestions: 1) Add a fairly complete description of what...

Oops, when you move the photos to a nested album the properties change and you can't edit. Here are the former photos. Don

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Been busy learning how to repair gelcoat, fill screw holes, fill unwanted holes, fill dings and assorted polishing techniques. Since I can't make it up to Scott's seminar I bought the DVD and spent some time scouring the internet for videos and how to stuff. Quart of Spectrum ivory and a...
  17. 11 transom screws or former screws sealed with adhesive sealant were removed, properly filled, and a gelcoat patch kit applied. Color matching of the kit was definitely off.
