Replacement Cutting Board for Origo-4000 Alcohol Stove

Here are some pictures of the original (as far as I know). It's just over a half an inch thick... I'd say 9/16" Mine is in pretty good shape, but I might be interested in something custom you come up with... you do nice work!

    "Maiden" Voyage...

Ummmmmm... Haha - thanks for the tip on the fan - they're kind of spendy! Does the quality justify the cost?

    "Maiden" Voyage...

OK! We're making progress! After sitting high and dry with my dad for 11 years, I finally got her in the water yesterday. Of course, I probably picked one of the busiest days of the year for the boat ramp - but hey, go big or go home, right? I spent over 3 hours on the water - Sacramento...

    Core or no core?

Is there some sort of guide or summary re: which parts of different models are cored or not? Any good way to know before you drill or cut? I'm picking up little bits and pieces of info all over the place and I guess it's adding to my confusion more than not. - I've seen in more than one place...

    Wire and Cable labeler?

Anyone have a tip on a good labler for cables and wiring? I've looked around a little and found a couple that look like possibilities... but figure some of you must have something you're particularly happy with? Thanks

Red lights other than Nav lights...?

Thanks. and good point about the RFI... that is a potential problem if you don't pay attention to that detail. I've already used the same lights and circuitry I plan to use in a ham radio environment, so I should be OK.

Red lights other than Nav lights...?

Just thinking out loud again as I often do - you'll get used to it... I'm currently putting some thought into updated cabin and cockpit lighting. I've worked with LED lighting strips in the past and really liked how handy they were and it seems like a perfect way to light both the cabin and...

    Existing transducer...

I remember my dad having "problems" of some sort with the existing transducer, which is probably why there's a brand new one sitting in a box. The problems could have been due to the location as you say... who knows at this point. He was well aware of the potential problems of the cored hull...

    Existing transducer...

I can actually see the transducer on the outside, so not a shoot through if I'm understanding properly (and I think I am because there's a good example of installing a shoot through in the photo library). Cables are still attached if I recall correctly (not near the boat at the moment). I...

    Existing transducer...

I've got an existing thru-hull transducer below the helm - it's not compatible with new electronics, so not going to use it. Should I just leave well enough alone... or is there a compelling reason to remove it and repair the area? If it should be replaced, am I correct in assuming it's not a...

    Dri-Dek vs DuraGrid

Hmmm... I went to their website and tried playing around with several different color/size combinations and it just kept saying 'this combination is not available, try another combination'... it wasn't even nice to say if the color or the size was the problem. Weird. Not gonna play that game all...

    Dri-Dek vs DuraGrid

Interesting! Sure looks nice. I assume it's a faux wood of some sort, or is it actual wood? How hard is it - does it have any sort of cushion or spring to it at all? I'm hoping to find a material that helps deaden the sound a bit in addition to keeping us up above any minor puddling... and of...

    Dri-Dek vs DuraGrid

Reviving an old topic... anyone have anything new to add to the conversation? Have a product along these lines that you really like? Any pictures in your albums you can link to?

Anchor is next on the checklist...

10 feet is the depth of water + 3 feet from the surface to the bow roller = 13 13 x 7 = 91 ... but that can be a combination of chain and rope, right? So you can get 7:1 in 10 ft of water with 70 ft of chain (or 75) (or 60)...? It's just more convenient, measurement-wise, to know what you've...

Anchor is next on the checklist...

Yes, I wasn't happy about the price either... but I will likely single hand quite a bit... and I don't have an center windshield that opens so can't put the switch near the window. Again, definitely something that could be solved with a cheaper DIY solution, so maybe I'll defer that a bit. I...
