Keeping crab fresh over the weekend

OK so in regards to Patricks comments: have you had issues with seals getting into them if you leave them overnight? that seems to happen a lot where we are. Now, with 5 dungies and 6 red rocks being the limit per person that would put my wife and I potentially at 11 and 12, or 23 crab to...

Keeping crab fresh over the weekend

ha, good stuff. OK I'll hit the youtube and look at this a little more. I used to have a large propane powered boiler for things like this, but there's no way I'm going to boil anything big enough for crab on the boat so I needed an alternative...

Keeping crab fresh over the weekend

Do you guys keep live crabs on ice for a few days safely, or would they die and go bad? I'm wondering if you go on a cruise say Thursday... crab Thurs/Fri/Sat and come home Sunday, how do you keep the crab safe and fresh until you can get them home? In the past I pretty much always took crab...

    Sunbathing?

I haven't seen enough risk to cause damage in months. I recall the winter of 2016-2017 when the pacific northwest had only 8 days of sunshine from November till May.

    Sunbathing?

I can always tell which C-Dory owners are PNW and which ones are Florida. There are two types of owners: Those who install AC units Those who install Heaters

    Sunbathing?

"Progress" I think is the term they use when all of the old culture and architecturally interesting buildings are torn down and replaced by large character-free monstrosities to house high earning tech folks while simultaneously boosting the homeless population. We've had an insane population...

    SOLD - 2001 C-Dory 22 Cruiser, $27,500 in Bremerton, Washin

Brian had us on Lumpsucker this weekend (thank you Brian!) and it's really well outfitted if anyone is looking. I was really impressed by the shore power setup and plethora of canvas. Since Heather is new to C-Dorys, but not boating in general, I don't know if we will have a decision made in...

    Reality Check, Good deal?

that's great, that's not a long wait at all. I'm seeing the local shop already getting a line up of boats preparing for the spring season. Once they get busy the wait becomes months.

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

The need for air conditioning is so foreign to me. Whenever I see someone mention AC I know instantly where they are from

    Reality Check, Good deal?

I think the only answer is "it depends". I didn't survey C-Miner when I bought it from Ron. He taught me a lot about the boat and we sea trialed it, and when I sold the boat, the new owners didn't ask for a survey either. But these boats are pretty simple creatures, I see more extensive surveys...
