    New mapping site

Warren I don't think it's any better than Active Captain and maybe not as good just another option. It has and annoying goggle popup advertisment that Active Captain doesn't have. One thing Active Captain shows that it doesn't seem to is boat ramps.

    New mapping site

It's sort of hard to see. Across the top you'll see HOME ICW PROBLEMS SUBMIT NEWS ASK YOUR NEIGHBOR FUEL PRICES ETC. Right below ASK YOUR NEIGHBOR you'll see in white CHART VIEW it's on top of the Pier 66 Advertisement. Run your mouse over it and it will give a drop downlist of areas. Here's a...

To access it go to the main page and at the top of the screen above the sponsors there is and option "Chart View." Need Help with trailer lights.

I had a problem with my lights that had me pulling my hair out. Voltage and grounds all checked out good. I cleaned the contacts in the plugs and sprayed with contact cleaner and that didn't help. The problem was intermittent so I thought for sure a bad ground. Finally I looked at the male plug...

    Oops

I guess he got the plug back in. In the other video he says the plug was out when it launched itself. It's strange it drifted so far from the ramp before grounding itself in the marsh. There is a pretty strong current in the area. From what I gather it happened early in the morning so I don't...

    Oops

Here's another shot of the boat in the marsh. The guy was by himself the other video I mentioned shows him pretty good but there's some pretty rough language in it. You can see the launch ramp in the background.

    Oops

I expect he didn't have safety chains and the coupler wasn't latched don't really know but it wasn't staged there's another video on Facebook that shows the boat and trailer washed up in the marsh. I guess he had to have his straps on or the trailer would have seperated from the boat. The guy...

    Oops

http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w97/ ... 95adb0.flv Link to the video. Apparently the guys coupler wasn't locked and to add insult to injury when the boat launched the plug was out.

    Boat value questions

Something wrong here I don't think they made a 23' Venture in 2003 and the 29' was a pretty big flop I understand.

    Oops

Don't know how good this picture will upload it was taken with a cell phone. If you notice the two white pvc pipes on either side of the boat and if you look closer you can see a winch. Poor guy launched his boat and trailer and he drifted about a mile from the ramp before my Buddy towed him...

    Raymarine S1000 Wireless Autopilot

Hi Pegasus if you set up a route on your GPS the S-1000 will follow it from waypoint to waypoint. It's been a while since I've used mine in that manner but I think it asks you at each waypoint if you want to proceede to the next or something like that. You can also point and shoot and make small...

    flush fitting

Marty I had the dealer put a flush hose on my Honda 50. He somehow tied into the cooling system under the cowling and ran a hose out where the wiring exited the engine. I had this because of storing my boat on a lift but if I had a choice I would prefer to flush with the muffs and the engine...

Tad sounds like you had a great trip. Do you know if there is a place to store your truck and trailer at Bahia Honda? Thanks for sharing your trip.

    film scanner

I've got a VuPoint scanner and it works okay but like someone said after you've scanned all your slides it's useless. I came across a shoe box full of what I guess are 8MM home movies made in the 40's by my Grandparents in Brazil. I expect many are of ships as thats what they were there for...

    c-dory

Russ the wire should be a brown wire with a white tracer from the pump to a fuse about 6 " from the battery. I periodicly have to take my bilge pump apart and clean out the chamber the float is in and clean the float. There are two small phillips head screws on the bottom that allow the bottom...
