Trailer brackets on King trailers for the CD-25

Just had the same problem with my King Trailer. Replaced the brackets. Haven't figured out what caused it yet. It's only the outside brackest on that bolt to the front axle. Toyman, the brackets are all one piece. No welds.

    Looking for advice/suggestions

Castaway, I've owned tin boats and fiberglass boats over the years and there are pro's and con's to each which you have already mentioned. One thing I will say about a C-Dory or any fiberglass boat is they are definately warmer. There is a little more upkeep involved with fiberglass, potting...

Back told me to buy a pot puller

breasaw, I use the same puller. I just mounted the scotty base on the starboard side gunnel. Used some 1/8" aluminum as backing plate underneath. Mount is small and doesn't get in the way. If I want to trol while pots are soaking, pull one pin and puller comes off. Don't see a need for a swivel...

    boarding ladder saved a life

I keep a large gaff hook on port side in rod holder. As people come aboard I let them know this is how I recover anyone that falls overboard...........haven't lost anyone yet! In fact I can't get them close enough to the gunnel to fish. Humor aside, if I'm out alone fishing I tie a floating...

    Bilge Pump

Designbug, It's not a big deal to epoxy a screw hole closed. Just drill into it with a 1/4" bit about a 1/4 ~ 3/8 of an inch. Fill with epoxy and your done. All screw holes need to be filled. If you're going to put a screw back in, it will need to be potted a little deeper than the screw is long...

    Bilge Pump

Makes me wonder are there any other screw penetrations under the rear deck. My fresh water pump was also screwed down into hull with no sealant on the screws. I moved pump up along side battery and filled screw holes in hull with epoxy. Has anyone removed their rear deck? How is the fuel tank...
