    Engine Speed on 22 Cruiser

Thanks for the responses. It seems regardless of motor brand that they all share about the same values as I experienced. This provides me with a good baseline, thanks again.

    Engine Speed on 22 Cruiser

I appreciate the info, and I am aware of the 5-6000 RPM range for WOT on my motor. However, my question remains, is this speed of 22 knots with a Honda 90, somewhat loaded boat trimmed properly at approximately 5000 RPM's one would expect to achieve? I assume this is a ballpark value. My hope...

    Engine Speed on 22 Cruiser

Hello All, I had my new to me boat out this weekend and had a fabulous time. I was wondering if my boat is operating as other boats with a Honda 90. My best cruising performance with a 22 cruiser, 30 gallons of fuel, kicker, camping gear/food, fishing stuff etc. was at 5000 RPM about 22...

    US customs and Canadian boats

As I understand it, Canadians with vessels registered in Canada visiting the US are required to obtain a "cruising permit" from CBP at the land port-of-entry. This permit is $16.00 (it used to be free until this year) and is good for a year. If you leave the vicinity of the port at which you...

Thanks for all the responses, you've given me more to think about. I'm glad to hear that others share the same concerns. It appears that, like anything else in life, there are choices and options available to us. It's great to flesh them out here in the forum. Cheers :beer

    22 Cruiser Stability

Hi Folks, I know this topic has been discuss before, but I am interested in knowing what capacity our 22 Cruiser has for cargo up on the roof. I am interested in putting two kayaks plus the rack and gear, combined weight approximately 175 lbs. I know others have done this configuration, I am...

    Weldmount Fasteners

The adhesive I bought through mail order arrived and was past the expiration date, after consulting with WM and conducting test batches myself, the product worked as it was supposed to and has bonded well. I remove the gelcoat down to the fiberglass, clean with acetone and adhere the stud or...

    Weldmount Fasteners

Thanks for all your responses. I did contact the folks at Weld Mount and they provided the following: "You won’t affect the adhesive unless the temperature reaches 300 degrees F. That’s pretty hot for a grinder. I would recommend that you thread nuts tight to the baseplate and up the thread...

    Weldmount Fasteners

I have a quick question for any of you who have used these acrylic bonded fasteners in your boats. I have used them to bond some items in my boat to fasten starboard, chargers, footman loops etc. My question has to do with cutting off the threaded bolts as the "meat hooks" are too long. I am...

    Battery Types?

Bob, The reason I went with an AGM was that it was the only one I could find locally at the time that was deep cycle in Group 24 size. Also, I needed it to slid in on an angle into the area aft in the starboard larazette. I posed this query to the folks at Pro Mariner and they said that it "...

    Battery Types?

The Prosport has only two settings for charging cycles - one for wet/AGM's; one for gel cell lead acid batteries. While I agree they are all lead acid type batteries, the question remains can I charge the Start Battery (wet) and my House (AGM) from the dual bank charger.
