Many of you remember Art Lindsay the owner/president of Stone Wolf vineyards. He and Chuckpacific attended the impromptu Warrenton gathering last fall when El & Bill completed their Columbia River cruise. Art brought a mixed case of his delicious Stone Wolf wines for our enjoyment. And enjoy...

CAVU Ken No need for downriggers here. It's to shallow with uneven bottom. Generally we're fishing 7 to 20 ft of water, dragging the cannonball right on the bottom. Only 1 week to go!

I blundered into a 13 lb'er this morning. Other boats seemed to be catching more fish too.

Good point, Ken. And more importantly, take care not to feed your hand to the sea lion.

Dan The season is quota driven. You won't find it in the regs. They will shut down the season when the quota is met. Treble hooks? Yes, they're legal here. Barbed hooks? Yes, they're also legal here. New rule is that you cannot bring a native (non finclipped) fish onboard. You...

    Which side to mount kicker?

Definately mount it on the starboard side on the newer 25's. It will list slightly to the port of you don't. Then when you have passengers sitting in the dinette, it will be even worse. Don't ask me how I know this.

How High to mount radar dome on CD25?

Thank you Joe, what you said makes a great deal of sense. There's a huge difference between continuous power and intermittent (pulse power) when it comes to doing damage to living cells. Kind of like comparing apples to oranges. Soooo..., if we converted the 2kw of pulse power out into...

How High to mount radar dome on CD25?

Well shoot, I think I've discovered the solution to our countries energy problems. These little radar units that operate on 12 volt batteries and use 28 watts, but convert that to 2 kilo watts of power output.... Ya gotta realize that I've been out of the electronics field for over 35 years...

How High to mount radar dome on CD25?

This quote was taken from the Aussie file that Dan provided. In simple terms, don't put your face closer than 1 meter directly in front of the dome. Mike, I don't know where the mfg. gets the 2kw from. Heck, to transmit 1000 watts of power we needed 3 phase 220 volt power and a klystron...

How High to mount radar dome on CD25?

Okay, time for a serious answer to a serious question, at least as I understand it. I was a microwave radio tech. in the Army circa 1969. We worked on and repaired 10 to 1000 watt transmitters. According to our army electronic instructors, if you stand in front of a unidirectional 10 watt...
