Greetings Fellow Brats, Just got back from a trip to Bimini in the Bahamas. Before I leaving I replaced the water pump kit and test ran the boat. Running wide open and trimmed out for 5 minutes or so the overheat warning alarm sounded and the engine dropped back to 3000 RPM as the manual...

I have an 06 model as well that stays in the water most of the time, but no sign of corrosion...yet. I just added the zincs to the plate this spring as a precaution. Let us know what you find.

Gents, thanks so much for the information. But where the heck can I buy one of those links? Joe you nailed it in your description of the problem. In addition there is not enough "drop" on the rode as it passes thru the deck so it gets sideways and jams. Chain will solve the problem if I can...

The water level tube on my boat has gotten nasty looking with what I guess is mold and or crud of some sort inside the tube. Especially where the water level usually is. Does anyone have an idea how to clean that ? It would take a really long and skinny brush. Put crap in the water tank too...

Greetings fellow Brats, I recently got Pluto my CD22 back in the water for the season and before I did I filled the water tank. Now I realize I am just lugging all this heavy water around for no reason. I need to keep maybe 5 gallons or so on board for my typical day trip, not all 18 gallons...

Sadly it appears I was correct when I speculated here that they had the anchor off the stern. Yep, that would pull it under alright.

You dont suppose they anchored off the stern.... Must have been a real freaky breaking wave to flip the boat with a bow anchor and lots of scope.

Thanks for all the ideas folks. It is great to be able to bounce ideas off my fellow brats. I think remounting with shims to get another inch or two upwards may be the way to go. Never thought of that.....

I'm looking into converting my fixed helm to a tilt model. Has anyone done that? Seems to me it would be a real plus in the tight confines of helm area. I'm surprised its not offered as a factory upgrade. Thanks

I should have added that HydroCoat is a water based bottom paint which makes it alot easier to deal with and is easier on the environment. It seems to work as good or better than other more toxic bottom paints I have used in the past. I have a dead patch in my yard where years ago I scraped...
