Any thoughts on the Mantus anchors?

John, The 13 lb fits fine on the stock anchor roller on my 22. I know it doesn't help much, because odds are your Venture has a different type of roller. I have never gotten an album here, so I'll see if I can get one and I'll post a picture of it for you.

Any thoughts on the Mantus anchors?

We have a 13 lb Mantus on our 22, and it has been great anchor. We have used it all over the Southeast from Houston, were we live, over to Georgia and down through the Florida Keys. Knock on wood, it has never drug, even through the big thunderstorms that pop up in the summer. It has always...

    Second anchor suggestions

I know it has been several months ago you posted this, but I was reading through some old threads, and stumbled on this. We have a 13lb Mantus and love it. We have used it from our home base here in Texas, all across the southeast US and down to the Florida Keys and it has always worked great...

    Florida Keys Ramp/Parking

Jim, Thanks for the tips. We would love to visit the keys in a better season, but I'm a teacher, so summer is our chance for a long cruise. Next summer we are going to try for the Pacific Northwest and get a little break from the heat. I rigged up an air conditioner for the boat this week...

    Florida Keys Ramp/Parking

Hey everyone, We are heading to the keys next week for the month of July. Do you guys know a good spot to launch the boat with long term storage for the rig? We planed on launching somewhere around Key Largo and working our way leisurely down to Key West and back. Thanks, George

    Possible future C-Brat

Thanks for the congratulations everybody. We are glad to be a part of the C-Brat family now. Marc, we would love to stop by while we are over there. Also, I wanted to ask you where would be a good place to launch in Apalachicola, and would it be a safe enough place to leave the truck for...

    Possible future C-Brat

I wanted to update you guys and let you know I bought a C-Dory. I made the long trek this previous weekend from Houston to Cincinnati and bought the 1998 C-Dory 22 Cruiser that was listed on C-Brats last week. The previous owners were very nice and took good care of the boat. It is in great...

Ssobol I saw that boat listed on craigslist. It looks good and is in Texas I just have to get the funds approved by the "boss" aka wife. That one is a little more than we intended to spend. Alok I have boated on the bay some, most of it on sailboats. We have been to Redfish island and around...

    Possible future C-Brat

Thanks for the reply and welcome. I saw the map but didn't know if it would be rude to start PMing people from there. I'll give it a try. Lake Conroe is only thirty minutes from our house so that would be a great boat to see. I would love to cruise the Pacific Northwest sometime. It looks...

Hi. I've been lurking on this forum for a while. I really like the idea of the C-Dory 22 and have been thinking of purchasing one since I first read "River Horse" by William Least Heat Moon. The C-Dory seems like a great boat to have and looks like a lot of fun. I love to explore and think...
