I have never run elec brakes but had a TomCat24 with the EZLoader trailer and surge brakes. I found they worked well. Going down hill I could just tap the brakes and you could feel them kick in. I had no problems. I probably put about 3000 miles on the trailer. Phil

My point is that it is very difficult to grab your keys to start the boat while hugging a tree.... I know that a stretch but when I made the picture it was the first thing I thought of.

This is why I keep my keys on the boat not in my pocket.

Sounds like there could be a market for someone to make a Flexi solar panelled hulled dingy here!!! Just flip the dingy over on top of your cabin and plug into your C-Dory to charge the batts.
