    Wiring advice requested (sorry!)

Thank you Bob! What gauge wire would you recommend running between the ACR, switch and battery terminals? I went with the 'bigger is better' mentality and chose 2 AWG, but it's large and cumbersome. Smaller AWG would be more flexible and easier to run. I have 2 yamaha 50s, not sure if that...

    Wiring advice requested (sorry!)

The leads coming out of the ACR in the diagram above have an s drawn in the line with little circles. What does this symbol represent? Is this where a fuse is installed? I've installed 80amp fuses where the s appears on the blue sea install. I believe this is one of my problems. Same s...

    Upgrading Batteries in Starboard Lazarette

I am following the Blue Sea diagram for my installation which may not the best way to go. The diagram calls for 80 amp fuses between the relay and switch, not sure why. Would certainly be an easier and cleaner install without the fuses. I’m afraid of deviating from the instructions, but you...

    Upgrading Batteries in Starboard Lazarette

After the new Windlass was installed, it became apparent that my existing battery setup was not up to snuff, so I am in the process installing new batteries, blue sea relay and switch, waterproof charger and BMV 702. It's a tight squeeze but everything fits and is secure. I am a newbie so any...

Transom Bilge Pump Drain Hole Location

Thank you Sunbeam and Thataway. Just ordered Butyl tape from the sitelink provided and that amount should last several years! :thup

Transom Bilge Pump Drain Hole Location

I've used Silicon for several boat projects and its a real bear to clean up. Not to mention that after a year of being in the sun, the silicon turns yellow. I just ordered DAP Butyl from Amazon and will start using that instead. What cleaning solution would you recommend using to remove...

Transom Bilge Pump Drain Hole Location

Thank you Bob. Should I use 3M 5200 to seal the bilge exit fitting or marine silicon? I worry about using the 5200 because it's permanent and I wouldn't be able to remove the fitting if there was ever a problem.

Thank you Captains Cat! That's exactly what I will do. Do you recommend a corrugated flexible line or a smooth line? Does it matter much?

Transom Bilge Pump Drain Hole Location

Thank you Rob and Karen. The two holes below the port Lazarette (hope I got that right) is what you are referring to? One hole for the live bait well and the other for the bilge? Ok, starting to feel a little better now. Thank you Cbrats :) Such a great community. :thup

Transom Bilge Pump Drain Hole Location

Thank you Sunbeam and Thataway, I've been kicking myself all day for not posting this question BEFORE DRILLING. But, as always, you are both so helpful and have given me re-assurance that the location should be fine. The midship bilge drain on my boat is the same as Thataway's. About the same...
