    Reality Check, Good deal?

Very exciting day...Curious Traveler is launched. We didn't get to go out because the whitecaps were coming off the bay and into our creek. But she's at least in her slip. Pic in my album.

Colbysmith, I like how far back your enclosure goes. Did you have that made locally?

    Cockpit slant back cover pictures

Good morning all, Does anyone have detailed pictures of how their cockpit cover connects around the lazarettes and splashwell? Or any opinions on designs? My preference would be to completely cover the lazarettes to keep them dry but from what I can tell most connect forward of the covers...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

I spent today, and several recent evenings, as well as the last two weekends, fixing up Curious Traveler and getting her ready to launch. You can see pics post scrubbing, polishing, and waxing, in my album. Took a lot of elbow grease after several years of being ignored by her previous owner...

    New member and owner

Congratulations. I just purchased a 22 Cruiser myself. Spent the last few weeks polishing and waxing and getting her ready for launch.

    Securing anchor to anchor roller

Thanks everyone. Look like, for now, I'll just have to suck it up and use the foredeck cleat. Since we're still locked down here in MD I haven't actually had her out yet so I'm killing time by thinking through things from a distance.

    Securing anchor to anchor roller

When she's in the slip I'll have one line from the forward cleat going to each side. A piling on one side and the dock on the other.

    Securing anchor to anchor roller

SSobel, I think my anchor needs something pulling it in tight or it'll just fall forward out of the roller. Something like a velcro strap might make it sit in there nicely but I think if I hit a big wave it'll fall forward. Thataway, I believe it's a real Danforth but in all the other...

    Securing anchor to anchor roller

Good afternoon C-Brats. I'm looking for ideas to secure the anchor to the anchor roller. The boat came with a Danforth style anchor and the previous owner secured the chain to the foredeck cleat. I don't like this because I need the deck cleat for dock lines and it also doesn't hold the anchor...

Painting motor bracket - how important?

Sanded her and applied 2 coats of Trilux. Will add a 3rd tonight. The time between coats is 6-12 hours depending on the temp. Will keep my eye on the growth over the season and report in on how well it works.

Painting motor bracket - how important?

Steve, I still have a can of Trilux 33 from last year if you think that'll work better. I just didn't have great luck with it on the outboard bracket on my last boat. It was covered in growth by the end of the season.

Painting motor bracket - how important?

I grabbed some PropCoat based on a recommendation from the marina. The application instructions say to sand down to bare metal and then apply. I'll see what I can do with my Dremel and little electric sander but a good scuffing may be about the best I'm going to get.

She'll be in the water full time.
